  • Swwwweeeeet

  • Gonchito...fuck you..translate that fucker

  • @USA1749NY2SFnSD2Fork mtherfcker fuck you!

  • @geniussquad ok, then change the title of the video is not live because it is a false assembly, at least put "Shake a leg video READ DESCRIPTION" asshole,,,

my English is very bad, I used the google translator

  • @arctrooperrex chill I think he mean it was rarely played live

I mean if u search deep in the vault of every band u would probably find every single one of their songs live

It's just some are not quite as frequent

  • ac/dc only played Shake A leg live on the first few warm up dates in Belgium in 1980

  • Could you upload this tape somewhere?

  • To bad Shake a Leg was never realy played live before, great song. nice overdub thou.

  • It was,

Brian's first gig in Belgium 1980.

  • @ShootToThrillAcDc If you're going to go around, saying that "Shake a Leg" was never played LIVE before, then change your name from anything to do with AC/DC, my dad had an old VHS video recorder from 1981, and in 83, he used it to record some songs from an AC/DC concert that came to New Jersey (I forget what town, so don't ask me which), and he recorded Back In Black, Shake A Leg, Shoot To Thrill, You Shook Me All Night, and several more, i just can't think of the names currently...

  • @arctrooperrex never really played live is different than never at all, but thanks for your long useless lesson.

  • @arctrooperrex im in jersey... but i wasnt born till after ball breaker. cant wait for them to come back here

  • Wow, that must've been a great show! That is some amazing footage, even without the audio! Never seen such great Angus footage from this era.

  • great

    what a gem

    and unique

they played it very well, even Brian's great

  • they probably have the song on Plug Me In wich features the 1983 Flick Of The Switch tour and live concert from MTV I think filmed in Detroit

  • Oh and are you sure of the location being minneapolis? They did not play there in 1982.

  • It may have been '83 or '84, but I moved from Mpls in '85. My recollection is early '80s.

  • Do you have the full recording of this concert?

Or is it just these clips?

The full concert, even if without audio, would be EXTREMLY great to share :D

  • That's all I have, I only shot one roll of 8mm film.

  • How long was the total clip?

  • 3 1/2 minutes per film roll. I cut this video down a bit to the most usable footage...

  • Now this sure is a Bootleg but it sounds just as good as the Album wow

  • Not live

  • Not to be snobbish, but this is for sure not live. Not a knock at him or you,he edited it great.Just you can tell by Angus and Brian's moves.Brian lips are a bit off as well as Angus's finger placements don't match the audio.

    So you're right not live.

Actually his video and another one is what gave me the idea for my Mistress For Christmas and Shot Of Love Music Videos...Check those if you wan't.Not as good as this one though.

  • it's not supposed to be live, just read description, man. He had this silent footage, and added some music and crowd noise for fun

  • Dude....

    I KNOW!

I DID read it,and now exactly what he did.

I was just stating how he did it for those who were deceived.

I actually really like this,he did a good job.

Basically, you didn't have to reply to me.

  • Oops!

    I Meant

    Know not now,lol

    typo

  • sorry, dude I didn't read your previous comments, don't get nuts!

  • dude his film was mute and he added the audio.

  • Very intresting.

  • This is just a For Those About To Rock Tour concert edited together to match the song, great idea, and done very well as a matter of a fact. They have only played this live once(that is known)and that was at Brian's first live performance with the band in Belgium. Can I ask what video editing software you used for this?

    5 stars my friend*****

  • Final Cut Pro. After shooting the old 8mm footage to DVCam.

  • Thank you,I will have to check those out

  • Revised comment: What date is this version of "shake a leg" from

  • The footage is from a 1982 concert in Minneapolis, Minnesota. Audio is from the album, with ambiance and crowd added.

  • Lucky you got shots of it. I would've killed to be in the audience at a for those about to rock concert.

  • little known fact that the reason this song is never played live is because brian cant hit the high notes anymore. he was able to do it in the recording and a couple shows after that in the warmup tour for back in black but after that, he couldnt.

  • Another reason why it wasn't played live, is that his vocals are very very well produced on this album, not only would Mutt get him to hit the right notes, Mutt would also perfect the sound of his voice too, particularily songs like this, so not only would it be hard to hit the notes, it just wouldn't sound right.

  • actualy it was played once live in 1980, brians 1st show with ac/dc june 29 1980.

  • solo crushed my bones

  • I saw them in 1981 in Atlanta, 5th row center!

    It blew me away!

    angus was a maniac-awesome.

  • well it's not exactly it...but it's cool and man, they should NEVER have dropped this song from their setlists! It's one of their best songs!

  • I think the only reason its not in their set list anymore is because brian can't reach those notes anymore :(

  • dude, i dont think it was ever played live. I'm into bootleg recordings and trust me, there isn't a show that has surfaced where it was played

  • I'm into bootlegs too. I just opened my copy of the book Hot Wacks 15 :The Last Wacks (which it wasn't) and teh 1st title had it, but that appears to be a copy of the Japanese promo, so that's out, but now I found one called Rock 'N' Roll Devil, double LP set, from Heidelberg, 2/4/86, which purports to have it.

Bootleggers are notorious for listing wrong titles, esp. in the vinyl days, but who knows...?

Best lost AC/DC song ever. What a shame...

  • Brian had to keep taking breaks through the recording of this song. He starts pretty high then just gets higher and more full on till he blows ya fukn head off!

To me songs like this prove he was the best (if not the only) man for the job, after Bon.

  • Wow if he had to take breaks that would make sense why it rarely got played.

But then, they also sometimes let great songs go by the wayside without realizing it; all artsists do.

Yeah Brian was the man for the job alright.

One listen to his Geordie version of House Of The Rising Sun, where he almost starts out sounding like one of his heroes, Eric Burdon, and by the end, there's what would be that AC/DC style.

I still think this song rules!!!

  • 4 sure!

When I saw there RRHOF induction performance I thought the same thing. i.e. Gone shootin, next to the moon.

For years they thought by not doing certain songs like ride on, problem child, riff raff it would honour Bons memorie since they were so... well...Bon. lol But I think they've moved on now.

  • Man I would do anything so see them in 1981!!!!!!!!

  • i would do anything to c them in 1979

  • Ooh Me too. I wish I was alive to see Bon. That would be wicked awesome!!

  • LOL NICE WORK i know its fake but its cool as!

  • u put the real song there its not live u added some cool effects to make it sound live nice work though hmmmm 4 stars

  • some wicked footage there !
