hate to break it to u nerds but pure skill means gentaro wins by default. 1:05-1:30 is far beyond what Syu or any other japanese guitarist could muster...and the extemely crisp arpeggios at the end work perfectly over that progression of the blues beat.

@Jogvan1000 feeling has to do with the way they're playing. Not jumping around. It looks more like they're just trying to show off their chops. The tone is shit, the notes aren't that clear, and I hate the way japs use vibrato. It's a fucking blues progression, to boot.

THese japanese players, with a few exceptions (Akira Takasaki, for example) usually play with no feeling at all. Suy is slight better than the other one, who suck anyway. Horrible tone, looks like it`s coming out from a tiny radio speaker.

@earthshaker87 syu has great melody. there isn't a single guitarist in the world with a similar style as syu. i've listened to symphony x, helloween, angra, yngwie malmsteem, raphsody of fire, and even x japan adn versailles. no one sounds like syu. his distinct style of fast but melodic playing is what sets him apart from every one else. plus he's a fucking good player

@yamiimax I think Sonata Arctica and Stratovarius are gay, and Germany produced some of the best power metal, with names like Helloween, Gamma Ray and Blind Guardian. Dudes invented power metal, instead of being cheesy like Finns. All finns do is to shred onto a simple double bass drumming with some high register vocal. Boo-ring.

Since you dont like Reincarnation, and early Angra, I can say that u just like cheesy power metal which is incredibly boring to be honest. Prog-power ftw.
