Flair was in the WWF back in the 90s, this was his last match before he went back to WCW. Than of course he came back after the Alliance Storyline, when he bought Steph and Shanes shares in company. He came back when WWE branched into the draft
@rabideaur003 Note HHH put the World heavyweight belt on Ric's shoulder not the WWE championship, That belt wasn't in WWE until after WCW folded.also note some ex WCW and ECW wrestlers were in the ring here. WCW was already out of business a while before this happened. This was after his return and losing his "ownership" where he became a wrestler again. The guys just did this as an impromptu show of respect to Ric in his (for 25+ years he's from Minnesota originally) home state.
I'm sure there was one hardcore Nature Boy Mark that night, went to the bathroom mid-match, came back, though Flair won the World Title, then cried when he found out.
and before you troll me, I am NOT disrespecting Ric Flair. i'm just saying, that probably happened.
how dare people in here say shit about ric flair jus cuz he goes to tna doesnt mean shit it jus means that he wanted a change of scenery alot of guys from wwe that joined tna did it cuz they had cinvudence in the brand i mean im glad tna came along i was tired of wwe this wwe that every week i needed a change
@justinhayden Um actually yes it does. Flair has no reason to go to TNA, it took Flair roughly a month in TNA to ruin his whole career. No longer will he b remembered for his matchs against Terry Funk, Steamboat, Sting or even Vader but he'll be remembered for being a embaressment. Way to disgrace the whole NWA Flair.
@linus614 He had good but pretty sad reasons to go to TNA, 3 ex-wives 0 prenuptial agreements. Vince did offer him an ambassador/off screen job with the WWE but I guess it didn't pay what Ric needs to cover all that alimony.
Hate to say it but 75% of the people in that ring are either dead or no longer with the WWE. Such a damn shame too because there is all that talent. And oh mmmmmm Stephanie too *drools*
@marcewrnest7 your a dumb son of a bitch you that they have a right to pay tribute to him and you need to gt punch in your fucking face for asking such a dumb question like that
@marcernest7 This was raw after judgment day 03, I heard triple h said that the tribute was Tommy Dreamer's idea, the guys wanted to come out and pay respect for what Flair has done for the wrestling business.
@ARK124 Shawn mentioned it in Ric's book too. He said everyone thought it was his idea but it was Tommy Dreamer who came to him and asked "Do you think you could get some of the guys together to go out to the ring, after the match, and kind of show Ric how we feel about him?" ( as Greenville was Ric's backyard ) Bubba said that "I told Vince afterward that this was everything that is good and right about our business" and "I was proud and honored to lift Ric on my shoulders"
Not that I have a trouble with it or anything but were they just paying tribute just for the hell of it. I am aware of the fact that this was when HHH got awarded the WHC and his 1st defense was against Flair.
They made a tribute and said goodbye to him and the crying is all over the ring
then he returned like nothing happened before ,
once again they cried all over the ring and made a lot of Tributes and the fans thinks this the one that sticks , they thought this where all this goodbying is true and they will never see Flair in the ring again
The shocking thing he once again returned to wrestling like nothing had happened

That's not the original World heavyweight Title belt Flair had in the NWA in the 80's. The original had brown leather not black.
