  • Will you die coward is a weird dialogue.

  • I think the reason he calls you a "coward" is because Garnele needs to catch up to the fleeing Einhander as your main task is stopping the train I suppose.

  • Garnele Pilot: Col. Geschtaffen! Es tut mir leid! Ich war nicht in der Lage, ihn zu vernichten! (Col. Geschtaffen! I'm so sorry! I was unable to destroy him!)

Geschtaffen (my name for Spinne pilot): Oh, was ist passiert diesmal? Ich kann meine Augen nicht los für eine Sekunde! Sie sind entlassen! Sie wollen etwas richtig gemacht, do it yourself. (Oh, what happened this time? I can't take my eyes off you for a second! You're discharged! You want something done right, do it yourself.)

  • Spinne Pilot: Sie haben mich geschlagen, aber es ist zu spät! Die Sicherheit Tor gesetzt ist zu schließen, und du wirst nicht entkommen! Ich werde dich in die Hölle zu sehen, bevor lang!

(Translation: You have beaten me, but it's too late now! The security gate is set to close, and you will never escape! I'll see you in Hell before long!)

  • You Have A Funny Voice. =D

  • @SakimotoFanboy are all of the cutscene dialogues in Einhander German or are there some English dialogues? (Despite the fact that the game is in English of course)

  • @alster724 They're English (if they have any talking at all) except for one, which is when *SPOILER* you fail to destroy the big rocket and your Einhander powers down and falls to Earth, where you can hear the guards scream "Feuer!" (Fire!), oddly enough I think that it's actually subtitled (I know that it's in the Japanese version, I'm not so sure about the American version). How ironic, it's the easiest line to guess and yet it's the only one that's actually subtitled.

  • y u no pick up them cannons dawg

  • the green flying guy, if you dont kill it, it follows you till you kill it. im talking about the one that's "asleep" the very last one that isnt flying. if you shoot the i guess it's the control room on the top right next to it and detach the train thing it'll keep following you. it's a very fun yet sometimes annoying glitch i have found.... so far.. :-/

  • The boss' name prbably stems from the fact that it has four arms. Yeah, weird.

  • the text says: "stirbst du, feigling?"

which would be: "are you dieing coward?"

but it would make no sense and it sounds more like: "stirb du feigling"

  • this miniboss says: "stirb, du feigling!"

    which means: "Die, you coward!"

  • Isn't it "sterbst," rather than "stirbst?"

  • Could be, could be. When I have the time for it I will do this game again, and when I do I will use the correct translations (since I have them this time around).

  • there is no sterbst XD maby in mittelhoch deutsch whch was used in the medival agesXD

  • I really, really like the Spinne for that activation sequence, and even moreso now after seeing that translation!

I can see why you don't like the Hedgehog, but it certainly is useful in certain stages.

  • "wha sakimotofanboy you suck I wanna see you play this on hard and not losing a life and not using any save states,. " made me laugh so much... yeah I hate those people who brag so much about god mode gameplay without dying...

I adore gameplays like this with some sense of humor...

  • That's great. I'm glad I can be entertaining. =)

  • Isn't there a point in the level where a robot unexpectedly appear in the middle of the screen, doing nothing but sit there in mid-air.

  • I love these let's plays!

  • Well, I don't know if someone mentioned it, but that 'Feigling' part, it actually isn't a question, but rather a remark.

'Stirb, du Feigling!' which is actually 'Die, coward!' or 'Die, you coward' if you want a more literal translation.

  • Thanks! I appreciate your translations. I have a complete translation of this game now, though, and once I have time I'll make a new LP series of Einhänder with the correct translations. :)

  • I love when you launch the last wasp And Go Patooie And i bet you can beat it on hard

when are you making "lets play Einhander Again" cuz i want to see the unknown Fighter 1,

  • Chances are I'll do that LP sometime soon... I'll start LP:ing again in June, that much I know.

  • ok sweet cant wait

  • That sounded right in the Spinne talking. I believe he said this, second part. "Alles fertig machen zum Angriff sich ab! [Everyone, get ready to attack!] Swedish: Allt redo att attackera mig!

  • Heh, I appreciate the Swedish translation, even though it's a bit off. Babelfish, I presume? :)

Anyway, I have a good translation of most of the things said in this game now. A German dude sent it to me. When I do this again - and there will indeed be a Let's Play Einhänder Again - I will include all the correct translations.

  • Nope, Google Translator.

  • This game is better than Gradius.

  • Wow...a Japanese company makes a game with actual sentences of your native language which is lped by a Swedish guy who tries to make English subtitles for it even though YOU (who speaks this language every day) can't understand everything due to some loud sounds in the game. o.0 Well you did a great job with those subtitles!

  • Thanks, but I'm a bit confused. I'm Swedish, and I speak Swedish. That's my native language. The subtitles, however, are in German. Even though Germany isn't too far from Sweden, they are two different countries with different languages.

I'm glad you enjoy what I did with the LP nonetheless. :)

  • Since you asked me to watch your videos and give my opinion, i'll do, its fun to watch, so the 1st one was right, the second wasnt a question, he actually said, "Stirb, du Feigling!" which means "Die, you coward", "Kampfformation D" is the right way and i didnt really get what he said after it, i think its "Alle fertig machen zum Angriff", which is "Prepare for attack".

  • I quite like your voice.

  • Thank you! :)

  • Fanboy, I know the full translation. "Battle Formation D! Battle Formation D! Everybody prepare to fire your machine guns!

  • If you could provide an original German transcript as well I would be even happier.

  • (ha sakimoto you suck go play at hard mode)dont mind them. you can do it on hard mode.

  • Probably. And I will - to get the Selene.

  • im doing hard mode with unknown fighter 1

  • So THAT'S what grenades do... XD

    Never knew that. Lawl.

  • I usually start dieing on this stage... and then it'll start turning into heck for me. (and sometimes if I'm really unlucky, I'll sometimes die on the FIRST STAGE...)

Didn't I say I loved the stage 2 mini-boss in one of your videos? He's always awesome, and one time I deliberately killed myself to fight this guy again and again. Now only if there was a stage selection like Gradius V (5), where you can also pretty much select a part of a stage. That would be awesome in this game.

  • If my memory serves me correctly, the Japanese version of this game actually had a sort of "free mode" where you could select stages to play. They removed that feature for the American and European release, however, for no reason at all. :/

  • That's a fat load of crap. Why they did that, I've got no clue.

It's like recent multi-console games: a version looks better than all the rest. (i.e., more features, more characters, more stuff that that version)

They thought that a "stage select" wasn't important enough to have in the American version, so you're pratically forced to play through the game over and over agai to get to where you want. That's stupid.

  • I suggest we all move to Japan. That will solve our problems. :)

  • im enjoying your einhander LP so far :) i love the translations

  • I'm glad to hear it! I just hope my translations aren't too far off. :)

  • For some reason... I really want to play this game. It looks awesome.

Awesome video. It was very pimp. =D

  • You should. It's a very, very good game. :D

And thank you. I was worried the glowing letters and stuff would get in the way, but I'm glad you're not bothered by them.

  • Glowing letters? I didn't even notice...

  • Well, I've added text for all the bosses and mini-bosses... I actually thought a lot of people would be complaining about them. They're... hard to miss. :)

  • OH! Now I know what they are. I honestly thought it was part of the game since I don't know... German? and translations are nice. haha

  • Really? Awesome! If they look like they could actually be in the game, I suppose I succeeded. I figured it would add to the experience if people had a clue what the enemies are on about (even if I don't know either in some cases). And I just thought adding the names of the bosses was... well, cool. ^_^

  • your start weapon should be a juno. its as powerful as a flash

  • Yes, I completely agree. It's harder to find ammo for it, however, and I also wanted to play the game as if I hadn't done it before.

If you want me to do fun stuff in this game, wait for "Let's Play Einhänder Again". Because I will do it when I reach a certain number of views/subs/videos.
