  • Eh up little old lady.

  • Stuff like this harks way back to a time when ITV children's TV department actually knew what they were doing regarding showing good stuff, CITV has sucked since the mid 90s IMO, when stuff like Knightmare finished.

  • Takes me right back to my childhood in the 70's...LOVED this programme! They don't bloody make kids shows like they used to. I grew up in the best decade for kids tv. BRILL!!!!

  • The pc brigade would have a conniption fit over this these days; "you have no legs", "watcha cock" and "never been christened"

A nice reminder of simpler times.

  • @TheIdentCritic

I live in Partington a few miles away. I was actually there today. Yes, I remember the sign now, but I bet nearly everyone still calls it "Stretford Arndale".

  • @TheIdentCritic

That's where I see it most often, near the Stetford Arndale Centre.

In one of the episodes Queen Doris says, "There's no such place as Chorlton!"

  • I live in Manchester a few miles away from Chorlton-cum-Hardy. This is one of my favourite TV shows. I always smile when I see the sign that leads to "Chorlton" :)

  • "Won't somebody ask me to resign?" :-D

  • this tune is my ringtone, you should see the looks i get.lol

    chorlton is my hero :-)

  • Chorlton and the wheelies produced by Cosgrove hall productions is a cult classic. It first came out in 1976.
