  • I'm going to explain the "reason". Plain and simple its to conquer. The near death experience of lifting big weight but you feel like you won the state championship.

I've lifted 28 years. I've tried bodybuilding but I hate to diet. I've torn my pec but I still bench. I've torn my calves but I still push and drag sleds. I train some young guys now my son included and he knows I'm going to die out there in the gym one night and he's good with it because it's all that makes me happy.

  • Whoever posted this has some serious dyslexia.

  • all these guys have big bellies...THATS THE KEY!!!

  • 160,900th viewer...woohoo!!!!

  • Poor spelling drove me nuts. But good vid otherwise

  • We do power becuse we are crazy, and with each kg we are able to lift. wicht each rep we are able to do, we feel something incredible that i can´t explain, i mean, this crazy feeling when you are waiting to put all this weight over your body or taking the olimpic bar to make a dead weight lift and think what the hell i´m doing, i can,t lift this, and that crazy voice from somewhere says to you yes, you can, seems to be imposible but try it, because you can, go, go, go...and then, it goes.

  • that was some of the sicket leg breaks ive seen... and that fuck up on the bench... was just nasty as hell lol

  • @youngpler bodybuilding is gay but I'm sure most of them are stronger than you and me both (the pros I mean) Btw great spelling/grammar to the maker of this vid.

  • Can't compare to a natural, 13 year old like me.

  • The only pain comes from needles...

  • @AndyHarglesis its merely the side effects of needles, which are goin to catch up with you decades after you took them, such as heart-liver and testicular failures

  • @krautstampflsepp And how do you know who was or wasn't taking steroids? Do you know these lifters personally? Oh, you don't? then keep your fucking mouth shut.

  • @Lhelm84 Thats quite funny, because I did'nt say anything about particular lifters taking roids. I was talking just hypothetic. And even if I talked about roid taking lifters : please dont be a naive jerk, son.

  • @krautstampflsepp I just think it's funny that since you are probably some weak ass bitch then anyone who's strong is taking steroids. Let's just forget the fact that they train their asses off day in and day out and never miss a meal and work around injuries and have an unbreakable resolve to constantly get better and better and better. Let's just point out the fact that they are probably on steroids and discredit everything they've ever accomplished... and you call me naive? son.

  • @Lhelm84 u mad ?

  • @Lhelm84 in difference to you I do lift for miself and don't just know "strong" people from your cable/satellite TV / youtube while shoving cheeseburgers and twinkies down your worthless throat

  • @Lhelm84 and to end this senseless debate : i dont give a fuck if someone is on roids or not, point. you call me weak bitch ? come and share some videos you stupid prick, let's see if you can even hold up your panties...

  • I hate this song.

  • Love it.. men can move mountains!

  • those dropped squats make me sick. USE CHAINS!!!

  • i have to poop now

  • Think about it....Me, 13, 1000% natural, not even protein, bench of 430lbs raw. :P

Full form as well, perfect range.....You can't compare.

  • I'm sure there's a lot of pain with those syringes....Seriously, why bother doing hard work if you're gonna cheat?

I work naturally hard and get the best results ever, being only 13 and so....I don't even take protein, NOTHING, yet I'm stronger than most powerlifters on the juice that are way older.

Why? Because I'm a good person and they're not.

  • @AndyHarglesis You're a lying little douchebag !!!

  • spelling sucked

  • Comment removed

  • god what horrific spelling and grammer....

  • fat

  • all of those aint true. I myself im a lifter and it never happens to the people's club. It's just bad luck happening. Some people will go too far to lift but then its aint powerlifting

  • id give anything to be like these guys!!!

  • 1:28 I absolutely LOVED how the other guy just walked away XD.

  • haha. they don't do it for the money, i mean, driving a truck or a forklift must make you a millionaire.

  • I'm a fan of powerlifting but for most of the guys, its just an excuse to be fat

  • @o6dude Or they do it because it's what they love?

  • @livingdeadmoose yea that's a possibility too ^^

  • @o6dude no not really, , its not an excuse for anything, its a passion for lifting and lifting heavy

  • @o6dude ???

  • @o6dude yea well compare the strength of a bodybuilder who has great muscles to the strength of a "fat" powerlifter and see who is better at lifting

  • @Kane16802 Uh, not bodybuilders. I deadlift/squat more than most professional bodybuilders. I am 15.

  • @YoungPLER thats wat i was sayin powerlifters are stronger

  • @Kane16802 Ops, sorry. Haha.

  • @YoungPLER What's your squat/deadlift? I'm 15 to.

  • @karite36 I pulled a 435 the other day. I haven't maxed squats in about two months however.

  • @YoungPLER Then you do not "squat more then most pro bodybuilders" I can't think of one pro who can't REP 585 on the deadlift. How much you weigh?

  • @karite36 Lol, I can name a few. I know Jay does 405. I am in the 165 weight class.

  • you did not just use a creed song

  • im 13 202lbs of dope-free power and i can deadlift 616lbs raw with bare grip and perfect form. :)

  • @13andincrediblycut i seriously doubt that put up a video

  • @13andincrediblycut i dont think so prick

  • who wanna look like a fatty

  • Cool video.. but i think the person who posted this needs do some reps with hooked on phonics. Spell check mofo!!!!

  • Cool vid.

  • Most power lifters share some common defects, as a whole for whatever reason, LOVE to punish, beat and torture ourselves beyond the limits of mind and body. It is our spirit that prevails. This defect of intelligence and sensibility pushes us onto the next level, makes us better and stronger. We all have lifted sick and badly hurt,,

  • ... When this subject comes up with normal people and other meatheads, we all have the prideful smile when we talk about lifting with a 100 degree temperature or a torn groin. Thank God that therapy doesn't work on us.

    Kirk Karwoski

  • I do it to be powerful amongst these stupid humans .....

    I want POWER!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • hahaha man you spelt country wrong your certainly not pumping any fuckin brains into your head!

  • If you're a real powerlifter, it's not pain, it's assurance you'll be more buff.

  • all you fuckers who comment about grammar need to shut the fuck up. what the fucking video, if you dont like it dont watch.

as for anyone who wants advise on powerlifting...westside barbell is the answer.

  • @supercamy7 hmm while i agree for the most part, btu not on eveything they do

  • 2:27 That's why you use saftey bars.

  • Whenever there is one of these powerlifting videos the author never uses proper spelling.

  • nothing sweeter than lifting some heavy ass weight!

  • How much is that midget squatting

  • @Dlarin000 - that "midget" is Andrzej Stanaszek from POLAND and he is not a midget from medical point of view. He's an 8 time IPF World Champ in Powerlifting in 52kg kat.(1993-2000), and 10 times IPF World Champ in bench press (1992-2000, 2003). Multiple World record holder in Powerlifting, squat and bench press

  • @BAMFsfd interesting i did not know that, thanks for the info

  • Song

  • I get the point of the video, but the grammar is God awful.

  • You put together an awesome video. Great work.

  • I mean these guys are strong as fuck, but when it comes to running for 20 miles, or being able to do 100 pushups, or 200 air squats, their endurance is shot.

    Bad ass video though!

  • @migmob27 well those althetic guys that can do 100 pushups and run 20 miles cant deadlift 800 pounds. im a bodybuilder i dont care what weight i put up and these guys dont care what they look like. they have a goal they rnt trying to be athletic.

  • wow this video is great

  • the so if not for the money comment on this video was very disrespectful and hilarious at best, Dr. Fred Hatfield and Dave Tate made a lot of money and career out of powerlifting, it's what you do with it that counts, its this kind of bs mentality that reinforces powerlifters that they are nothing but guinea pigs who don't deserve pro sports money figures,

  • this is where being SMART plays a huge role. If powerlifting was one federation with set rules this wouldn't be a problem, Hossein Rezazadeh, one of the best olympic weightlifters in the world is very rich and would get a good laugh out of this video even though he is every bit as strong as Andy Bolton. Come on powerlifters, wake up, one in a million strength, you better stomp your feet and push your way in, don't wait for another Arnold Schwarzenegger to hold your hand and do it for you!

  • good luck getting all lifters to agree on one set of rules. what did arnold do for powerlifting? fuck all. hosts some lifting at his expo? its always been underground. nowadays gear and all the amount of feds is embarrassing. but there still remains true lifters and lovers of the sport. one day i hope for young guys like me the sport can regain some of its prowess it had back in the day when guys like hatfield lifted. tate and hatfield didnt make money off of ACTUAL lifting itself either.

  • Awesome video any powerlifter would enjoy. a good video to show to those who don't understand it.

  • @insomnio270 "are you ready" by:creed

  • Anyone know the name of the guy squating at 0:38?

  • Ed Coan

  • how ironic most of them are big but FAT

  • @kopk888 they are not fat you fool !!!

  • @philwardle34 look at their BELLIES

  • @philwardle34 look at their BELLIES

  • till u canit no more

    lol

    you spelled it wrong

  • dude this whole presentation is spelled incorrectly lol.

  • Awesome!! true to every word, love it!

  • wats the name of the song?

  • @967527 are you ready, by- creed

  • are you ready by creed

  • gotta admit it may be a pain but its worth every bit of it! thats why i love it!

  • @RussianMI6 dam right man theres nuttin better than a good hard days trainin...i the pain is worth every bit

  • Good video and so very true I trained so hard a few weeks ago I was on my knees and couldnt get my breath and I asked myself is it worth and 5 minutes later I said to myself OH HELL Yeah I felt great! The Training is hell! and I have seen people get hurt at meets pretty badly!

  • can anyone plz tell me the name of this song

  • @themusclehamster1 creed- are you ready

  • @chevytrukman09 thnx alot lol i love this song

  • wats the song???

  • good vid, but again with the spelling. Good choice of music, too.

  • lol@ spelling mistakes but the video was great. The injuries freak me out.... daymn

  • Can you keep injury-free in powerlifting? I am currently taking a month off due to elbow pain :( f*ckin sux !

  • whoever made this video better learn to spell. fuck, there was about ten mistakes

  • this video is gay as fuck. i bet the maker is a pencil neck bitch

  • look at his other vids hes a large mammal

  • @Mikefuckfuck What's gay about it?

  • I'm about to start powerlifting next week and can someone give me the major work outs and recomended reps depending on weight?

  • Ive done Powerlifting mate. Its better to have a trainer teach you the lifts and that. If I was you, start at a pace that suits you, dont go lifting large amounts of weights that could do you damage. It does take time. Work on Bench Press, Dead lift and those. Hope dis helps!!

  • first find out your max 1 rep on bench and other lifts your competing in.. there are many different workouts you can find. me and my workout partner are doing one called "5 3 1" and its been working for us. look it up on the internet

  • you and your friend are on a great routine

  • @Utamivz808 you should look into westside barbell training

  • yea its been great for us... technically we stricly bench press only and thats been a really good workout for what we do. whatever workout you decide be sure to stay with low reps but very heavy weight. good luck man...and just curious... how much you weigh??

  • am i doing it right?? on day one im doing bench press and incline with 70% of my max for 4 sets of 3-4 reps and my 1 rep max on the last set. also a heavy back workout with the t bar row and day 2 im doing legs and deadlift wednesday rest and abs and thursday repeat day 1 and friday day 2

  • well you start out on bench like you said at 70% then add five pounds every cycle. A cycle would be, 1st week do 3 sets of 5, 2nd week do 3 sets of 3, 3rd week do 3 sets of 5, 3, and 1 rep, and 4th week you deload which means you go light on all your exercises to give your joints rest. in my workout i do bench, back rows, incline, then tricepts on monday... tuesday deadlifts, bicepts and some legs.. thursday shoulder press, shruggs and tricepts

  • @ewest121 is that really a good representation of the amount of reps and sets you are supposed to do for powerlifting? because i lift now but i usually do like three sets of 8-10 on pretty much all my workouts.

  • @MonkeyParts92 powerlifting is all about building strength and power..when you lower the reps you can increase the weight which gets your body acustomed to lifting heavy weight... i would do no more than 8 reps on any exercise but go as heavy as you can go. you should definately take a rest week every 4th week to give your joints rest from the heavy weight.. you can go lighter weight and higher reps during the rest week

  • @ewest121 okay, thanks! i havent been taking any rest week but will start now! but how many reps should i go for during the rest week?

  • @ewest121 also is it okay if by the time you get to the 8th set you only do like 6 or 7 reps!

  • @MonkeyParts92 it honestly doesnt really matter during your rest week..do what you feel like doing. just make sure your not going too heavy or wearing your joints out too much. you might feel like your not doing much but i promise it will make a huge difference

  • what song is this? And also, who is the strongest man in the world?

  • the old music was better

    but is still good

  • yeaa!! goin for 181 record in two weeks

  • powerlifting, hells yah high school powerlifting, hellll yahhh

  • awesome HL about powerlifting, congratulations!

  • your grammar is offensive

  • thanx

  • yup ive been powerlifting for 10 months now, stand a chance at wining nationals and going to worlds this year

  • thats peanuts to me now, im able to do over 500 for reps,

  • i agree there i have been accused by my own doctor of being on steroids about a year and a half ago when i started lifting just for fun i told him i squatted 405 for 7 and he went on about steroids nd there effects on the body for the next half hour, ppl think that if your big or strong it must be drugs, but those are ppl the have no idea what they are talking about therefore their opinions dont mkatter

  • i totally agree, people who with those mind sets will never get far in the sport. They limit themselves.

  • i dont set limits i set goals, and then i smash those goals lol

  • ok well you can see how someone would take offense to that, and have you seen the light weights and some of the more vain heavyweights, they are more impressive than some bodybuilders, and everything you said in ur first statement is completely untrue, and while like me there are plenty of heavy lifters, that only matters to the vainglorious, i could care less if i have a six pack, when i win a national and world medal everything i have sacrificed for my sport will be worth it

  • and i was serious look at competition benches there is a pause at the chest or in some feds it just touches and then you press, if u bounce u will easily get red lighted and lift wont count

  • ok legitamate argument which leads me to believe that your arent a complete fuck head, so now i ask you why are you trying to bash a sport , dont take this wrong that you obviously know nothing about, because if you do not powerlift you dont know its many intricacies

  • and of all the body builders i know and i know some major ones, they will NEVER work out one week on and the next off, thats absolutely ludacris, i powerlift 4 days a week and cardio 2 days aweek, every week, without fail, with a few exceptions dealing with contests, and in powerlifting the goal is strength not muscle size which is where u would then go to bodybuilding, and any bodybuilder would shut you down exactly as i have, only they would have different arguments

  • have u ever seen a powerlifting meet or what powerlifting reps look like, i suggest you go find some, there is absolutely NO BOUNCE, you have to pause the bench at the chest, the squat has to go to parallel and in mine below parallel, and im sorry there is no way to cheat the deadlift, hitching ois not allowed in any federation

  • yes u work out and somehow ur an expert for that?? wat injurys. i know tons and tons of fellow powerlifters witn no injurys watsoever, overtraining my ass, you are the ignorant fuck, just cuz u work out u assume you know everything, and workin out everyday is gonna cause cns overload and overtraining, now go look up what that means on google and then look up a reply, i awaite your educated response. though im likely to get another useless argument based on no facts

  • umm your an idiot, your fucking stupid, u have no idea what ur talking about, lets see you try it and the last one, your just plain fucked, no stamina really, what about the countless hours spend in the gym, the countless squats benches and deadlifts, these guys squattin 1200 for one are able to squat 100o for 3 or 4 reps and 700 for 10, lets see you try to recruit that much muscle fibre for that prolonged period of time and still give maximum effort on every rep, get a clue

  • Good example how not to spot someone 2.26

  • GOOD VIDEO

  • whats the diffrence between bodybuilding and powerlifting?

  • you just proved that this is a sport for intellectually challenged people...

    1. you can't spell

    2. truck driver

    3. forklift driver

    4. vacuum cleaner salesman

thanks for pointing this out ;) 5*

  • omg ur so annoying lmao u just proved that faggets like u think their smart cuz u judge ppl on spelling its the internet... get some friends and get a job... Cya faggett

  • @jozozo100 ur a fag

  • Since when does having an opinion mean being a fag?

  • since when does you opinion, which is based on no hard facts whatsoever, have to try and demean an entire subculture, and sport

  • Subculture? lol. Sorry if I offended your subculture, and another thing... english is my second language - not an excuse. Anyway, I would like to apologize on behalf of my ignorant comment. Sorry you guys

  • Just kidding... lol

  • @jozozo100 wtf are u talking about num nuts

  • and you are a fucking idiot, english is this persons second language, you dumb fuck so why not lay off the guy,

  • I've always hated squats..

  • awsome vid but did anyone else notice that this guy cant spell for shit?

  • spell check?

  • Badass video. watching makes me want to fucking get pissed and throw some weight around!! POWERLIFTING: you gotta love it!

  • I personally think this is the best video on youtube. I compete in powerlifing events and everything this video says is true. All the pain is worth it to be the best in your class

  • where's benedikt magnusson?

  • This video was posted in '07. Magnusson broke the record in '08.

  • Oh please use a monolift to prevent injuries!!! :(

  • So many spelling mistakes.

  • pain? never thought power lifting felt painful. It's the opposite of painful. Arnold can explain.

  • That was a great vidoe. Just praying my leg doesn't snap when I go for 800lbs (ouch!).

  • this is a great video!

  • live and let live! if u enjoy p/lifting drug free or u prefer using roids it's your choice, why do people use these sites to fuckin argue, each to their own man, stop wasting energy arguing and go 'lifting'!!

  • You must be the biggest puss on the planet or just weak as hell to think you need roids to lift 300 i benched that in the tenth grade 390 in high school at 186 and 410 at 198 all in high school drug free. Grow up dipshit!

  • wow man, what do you bench now? do you compete? keep up the hard work.

  • this video would of been sick if this horrid music wasn't used

i hate American accent in music and generic sounding 'rock'

  • anyone who lift more than 300lbs is on steriods

  • Comment removed

  • And you did that without the use of steriods if true then you must of worked hard and long to reach your goals good job on that i should of rephrased my last comment most people who bench more than 300 is on steriods not all

  • @steriodsr4powerfags you can bench more than 300 not on steroids, if you're one of these guys who's benching over 500lbs completely raw then it starts getting suspicious

  • Comment removed

  • Comment removed

  • @ZERODOWN675 wtf are u talking about

  • Bloody idiots. I am a powerlifter too.. All you prickz that think that steroids is needed to brute strength then think again.. Steroids is more for looking good,. not really for strength.. dont get me wrong stedz definately get u stronger but the way most powerlifters are freakishly strong is by HARD TRAINING AND A GOOD DIET... Powerlifting is one of the most brutal sports in the world and wasnt made for dumb ass people who dnt powerlift to to giv their ridicoulous stupid comments on..

  • ur an idiot, the best powerlifters just like the best bodybuilders and the best weightlifters are on steroids

it's just the way it will always be, if you plan on becoming the best, you will some day need steroids

  • we as powerlifters are criticized more than almost anyone, and if you guys would go to a meet and see the feeling you get around these guys and talk with them, yes talk with them, you would see that even most of the TOP LEVEL guys are humble and some of the nicest most helpful ppl you could ever meet, and anyone can be a powerlifter, it just takes hard work and a will to never quit, i started out an weighed 115 pounds! if i can do it anyone can

  • power lifting= hernia

  • Comment removed

  • post a vid so i can believe u...otherwise im just thinkin ur a fat boy hiding behind a computer screen ( - _ - )
