@max69ng Because to catch him, he'd have to break his stance and run towards Kyotaro. That's an unnecessary risk to take, and often a fatal mistake for fighters who do it (because they often walk into a counter). And if one thing can not be said about Schilt, it's that he's ever reckless.

He was cutting Kyotaro off, and made the ring small, as they say. That's all you need to do really. You simply can't hold a guy in place in kickboxing.

@AFGDavoudGER That style takes some serious skill to make happen mate. It's much tougher than the more common stances and systems used. If anyone deserves to make history by a 5th GP title, it's Schilt.

Especially because of performances like this. Schilt is really trying to make the fight here, even taking risks he doesn't need to, just to give the audience more to look at.

Well, all the running around isn't the most entertaining thing to watch, but who could blame Kyotaro? If he faced Schilt head-on, he probably would've woken up in hospital. ^_^

I also like how Schilt takes nothing for granted. He could've thought Kyotaro is too small and light, and then take it easy, but we went at it for nine minutes straight. How many people do that in a tournament when it's not necessary to win? Respect for Schilt.
