  • This wasn't a jealous bear, it was a hungry bear. The buffalo had been scalded (fatally) in a hot spring. His skin and fur was literally hanging off him. The bear knew the buffalo was mortally wounded so chased him down. Poor buffalo I believe was shot and killed a short time later.
