  • Aw, I miss this show.

  • You know you had a good childhood when your Saturday routine was wake your ass up to watch Recess and other cartoons!

  • One thing, the intro sounds like a march. With the style of drumming in it.

  • It's So Random how drastically disney's changed, adding cheesy tween shows left

and right to replace our cartoons and Shake Up our Suite Life.. if you think you're gonna have the same fun childhood i did in the 90's, well, Good Luck Charlie

  • For some reason it always makes me laugh when the door opens and all the kids are like "YAYYYY!" XD

  • What the hell happen to cartoons!!!

  • Anyone else think the principal looks like Walter Mattheu

  • Bring back shows like this & Rocket Power, and watch the childhood obesity rates drop.

  • See, this is why kids are fat now - they don't have shows like this to glorify being OUTSIDE & just being a freaking kid anymore.

  • absolute classic

  • Recess was a great show, they used to air this on Toon Disney, but now its Disney XD..they dont even air this anymore.. :(

  • Dude, it's so lame...I can't even find Recess re-runs now. :( Miss it.

  • Meh! I think the Lawson and his crew intro was better.

  • When I was in elementary school, I was a mix of T.J. and Spinelli

  • This is when you got your ass out of bed on Saturday morning, ate your Reese's Puffs and watched cartoons.

  • @jessikagurl101 in my case it was sugar puffs XD

  • @jessikagurl101 Fucking right on we did, keep on.

  • i love this back then

  • Aww...I remember this. It was on back when Disney was actually GOOD

  • When I was young and watched this I though Miss Finster looked just like my Kindergarten teacher. My dad even called her "Mrs. Smith" which was her name.

  • sigh, the good times will never return, i used to wake up to this shit with a bowl of cereal, in fact some of my family even used to watch it

  • this was the best show on Disney hands down

  • @BAWK0 and y is that >:/

  • best thing that pooped out of disney's baby >:D

  • Recess was to disney as All That/Rugrats were to Nick. Pure Awesome.

  • @BAWK0 don't you dare call them demonic children, you fucking retarded fascist! you might as well join the neo nazi movement.

  • does anyone know the episode where the gang finds the lunch lady zombies? it's under the school? please tell me

  • @Skullkid12349 i think you're talking about Night of the Living Finsters. They find a bunch of zombie ancestors of Ms. Finster in one of the Digger's holes. And if that is what you mean it's from an episode called the Terrifying Tales of Recess :) hope this helped.

  • I hope they make a channel for 90's shows.

  • i just graduated high school and like i do every year i watch recess schools out

  • @BAWK0 i will not stop watching it because you told me to. it is a great show. i will not stop using the word "kid." don't you dare tell me to shut the fuck up. you're the one who needs to shut the fuck up and leave us alone. you should get off the internet once and for all, recess hater!

  • @BAWK0 quit picking on recess. it's a great show and how dare you call it demonic. you really need to see a psychiatrist and leave us alone.

  • this was actually a few of the meaningful and awesome shows of cartoon network. and now... its gone :'(

  • @mark9111111 it was on disney channel, not cartoon network.

  • I remember wishing my playground was like that.

  • @ValtronW I know.the donor kebab looks like a centre for the crazies chingy chingy changy

  • I still watch this..

  • this is Disney's version of Hey Arnold! but I still love this show even tho i'm 21 lol

  • jaja eres un pendejo pr subir eso jajajaja

  • jaja eres un pendejo pro subir eso jajajaja

  • I always loved this show.

    It's timeless.

  • This is the best disney show ever

  • Ahhh recess, I always rushed to the tv when it came on. I still remembered when Randall screamed in the intro, so at 0:26 I'm like "wait for the scream...there it is" It wasn't until recently that I realized that Randall looks like Moe from the Simpsons

  • I used to have a crush on that guy with the red cap :P The power of a good cartoon! Miss it definitely

  • I remember watching Recess when I was 8 years old. I use to turn to channel 121 on my cablevision service and watch the entire thing. And sooner or later, I got interested in this in no time. Sadly, I didn't even see this since 2005.

  • Why does every video on YouTube about cartoons have at least one high-rated comment involving someone announcing their age? No-one gives a fuck.

  • man this show was f**ckin awesome back in the day!

  • BEST! SHOW! EVEEEEEEEER!

  • i love Miss Finster. you know she has a sweet side but she cant show it or the kids would just walk all over her

  • so many memories!

  • Was this show on Toon Disney, ABC, or UPN?

  • @bloodshotclam all of the above

  • @bloodshotclam abc then later toon disney

  • JUST FUCKING NOSTALGIA'D

  • My favorite show!!!!:D

  • (born in 1997) I honestly did not like this show very much back then, but now with complete crap on shows on not just disney but nick and CN ( i watch mostly comedy central now) this show seems hellova lot better

  • I didn't like this show when I was little, but i would always watch it if nothing else was on. Now I would rather watch this a MILLION times over what they have on T.V today.

  • Recess - Intro (1999-2002)

  • Comment removed

  • Is it just me, or does Randall look like Moe from the Simpsons, as a child?

  • @XxxWolfsoulxxX you are right randall does look like moe.

  • hahaha, i remember hating randall for being an asshole all the time

  • The bad thing is that I was 15 or 16 years old when this cartoon first aired on ABC One Saturday Morning. Since I had to go places on Saturdays, I would always find myself watching Pepper Ann, Recess, The weekenders, and so on. My favorite segment was and still is the Genie from Aladdin with the "Great Minds think alike, no, great minds think for themselves." CLASSIC!

  • one of those kids at 0:25 looks like Hank Hill

  • 7 ppl lost at dodgeball

  • One of the team members of Hey Arnold went on to create Recess. You can tell, they have similarities. Both are unbelievably awesome cartoons.

  • I like the episode when they found out spinelli was an Ashley... gawd it's been years.

  • @dan11mmn01 Cuz it's the shitz

  • never thought of it when i was a kid, but i'm betting Spinelli is a dike and Mikey is a faggot

  • Kids, this is before disney was shit.

  • @CaptainMaloy1001 Agreed.

  • oh good old cartoons brings joy again/

  • I remember how me and my sister watched this every evening and laughed our asses off at this intro. I don't know what happened, but they gotta bring da old cartoons back.

  • I remember these days. I still love Recess. I grew up with it.(;

People said I was like a girl version of TJ. I was honoured. ;D

  • @Mufasathegodlion I guess if you are a girl that is a compliment

  • This show actually shaped my personality.

  • Recess was definitely the kids version of Hogan's Heroes lol

  • I remember this.

  • Really is an Awesome show. Haven't seen it in ages (Ben10 and similar crap have taken over kids TV nowadays) but if I ever caught it on TV, it would instantly make my day!!!

  • HA. the athletic one is black. that shit was done on purpose

  • Recess taught me how to spell "Recess".

  • 7 people were always in detention during recess.

  • I would love to see a live opening they could do it like the simsons did

  • amazing all i have to say

  • I remember I use to come home after school and go to my nanny's home and watch this. I'd make sure I'd get there on time to be able to watch at least an hour of this show. The movie was by far EPIC as well.

  • omg wtf happend to these amazing shows look at the shit thats on now like suite life on deck and hanna montanna

  • Gotta love Spinelli XD

  • If only it was out on DVD in my country (UK)...! :(

  • ah recess those were the days!

  • The Good Ol' Days of old Disney Channel.

  • lol after all these years i just noticed how fast miss finster runs being an old person (0:14-0:17)

  • they removed it from disney :(, Sad.

  • OMG I MISS THISS

  • @dan11mmn01 not anymore, but netflix has the movies though XD

  • @dan11mmn01 It still comes on??

  • Recess! Saturday Mornings revolved around this show. ABC knew it. I also loved Doug was just as good and so was Pepper Ann.

  • This has to be one of the most memorable cartoon intros!

The music is catchy as hell, it gives you a little idea of what some of the characters are like, and that shot of Miss Finster and T.J. at 0:57 is one that always makes me laugh!

  • Why does cartoon sandwiches always look so god damn scrumptious!

  • TENDER

  • BEST MORNING CARTOON SHOW!!! I swear, how many kids were motivated in the 90s to start this in their recess time!!

  • Its like a war prison re enactment with kids!

  • I miss this so much.. brings back GREAT memories.

  • Brings tears to my eyes, I always wished that my Elementary school functioned like this one, taking me back to my childhood...

  • BEST EVER

  • "Phinster is a nefarious Dega" lol loooove Recess!!

  • to good for words

  • I nostalgia'd.

  • :')

  • can't remember how many times i have seen the reruns .......... :) best show ever

  • No matter how old I get I still love this show.

  • 7 people were picked on at recess, sorry for them.

  • This cartoon is better than all the music, tv shows, and movies to come out in the last 5 years combined. It is sad what this world has become.

  • OMG i used to love this show when i was little...this show was disneys greatest cartoon ever. so many memories

  • One of OSM's longest survivors...this show was and still is...extremely awesome. It's still playing on Family Channel here in Canada.

  • The great thing about this show was that the playground functioned in a way like how the adult world does. Disney, Nick and Cartoon Network get in you time machines and go back and take notes. I know you have one

  • @OcoryustheBold I suppose you could add Discovery Kids and National Geographic Kids to that...

...on a side note, I randomly had the intro's music playing through my head today while I was taking my Spanish final exam. I have no idea why.

  • GREATEST CARTOON IN HISTORY!!!
