I'm trying to learn the muscle myself, .but having difficulty with gripping the rings - i'm placing the ring closer to my wrist but still inside my palm to get better leverage, but it very uncomfortable and a bit painful, is it proper? kindly advice
@coolintake It's not unusual that it feels uncomfortable in the beginning. Start doing auxiliary wrist exercises (wrist push ups... etc) and prehab work early. This is the best investment in your training life.

@Aldind2x Get strong first. Do basic body weight exersices, pull ups , dips push ups, handstand push ups. then start with the easiest progression of the gymnastic movements.

How did you work up to this point? You had to start somewhere really simple.
