  • Soy español y admiro a Guillermo del Toro para mi junto a Alejandro Amenabar los dos mejores directores de habla española

  • Este tio del toro es un gran artista...

  • his movies are fucking spellbinding, no one even comes close to him in his genre!

  • His so cute he looks like a giant child

  • Guillermo, I'm a student of filmmaking, and let me tell you something...You are my inspiration, I hope to meet you one day!

  • my hero man

  • hes the coolest dork ever.

  • Guillermo del Toro is the best. He's a genius!

  • Todos mis respetos para este genio que ha llevado el nombre de Mexico por todo el mundo.

  • When I found out that he was planning on adapting Roald Dahl's The Witches, I nearly shat my pants.

  • Anyone found the full show on Youtube? i'd love to see it, but havent fund it in my half-arsed attempts so far :P

  • He's from Mexico!

  • So..what does his nationality have to do with his artistic talent?

  • @atlasperros A lot. Everyone has something to offer, but his films are definitely reflect his roots. It's like saying being America did not effect Mark Twain writing at all

  • @mazakiel "his films are definitely reflect his roots" How so? he grew up in Guadalajara, Mexico. His spanish trilogy doesn't reflect his upbringing at all, that's why he is talented.

  • @Camerador Mexico art is abstract. Everything from painting to writing. Mexico also has a strange relationship. with death. Now any other Westerners that bring food to their dead and have a parties in cemeteries? Where you grow up has a lot to do with everything you do.

  • @mazakiel to say that Mexican Art is abstract is like saying that Braque is Naif...is clear to me that you have no idea what are you getting into. I agree that your upbringing has a lot to do with your art. My question still standing, Did Del toro grew up in Spain? No. Its about fiction dude....

  • @Camerador ???? You must not know Mexican art well or literature. Del Toro grew up in Mexico. Read his bi, or just look at his interviews. Ever read Pedro Paramo, Octavio Paz, or just been around to art museums? It's clear to me your trying to be a smart ass and failing miserably. Your coming off a tad bit arrogant, which i don't mind if you would get your facts straight

  • @mazakiel Smart ass me? Dude, you are the one calling in such an arrogant manner Mexican art is abstract, do you know that Paz, rulfo has NOTHING to do with abstraction? To generlize that ALL mexican art is abstract is the most ignorant piece of crap that ive ever heard.

We are talking about Del toro, have you seen his spanish trilogy? Fiction, pure fiction. that's why he's talented. Period.

  • @Camerador Strain Trilogy is what your trying to say. Yes i heard of it. Have the books somewhere around my house. If you want to be a smart ass" Magical realism" was what Rulfo dedicated his book too. You take shit to the letter don't you? A lot of it is abstract happy?Get off your high horse because i don't give a fuck. Where you are raised has a lot to do with everything you do in life. You really have no choice in the matter. What i wanted to say, but i forgot people get anal on youtube.

  • @mazakiel touché! it turns out that now is "Just a lot that is abstract" and you burped Happy? WTF and when you get challenged, fucking cunt, you burped again saying that we get anal? isnt it supposed to be about getting the "facts" straight? Piss off wanker!!!

  • @Camerador Se enojo la nina. . .Did you know Guillermo del Torro was raised in Spain? Peace out i got better things to do than to argue with egomaniacs on youtube. Basame el nie perra de baro.

  • @mazakiel No, he wasnt raised in Spain, he raised in Guadalajara, Mexico. Putain mexicain de merde!

  • @Camerador I know I was being sarcastic little girl. Are you French? Probably why your sensitive, and arrogant. Your probably some washed-up art student who thinks he knows it all. In any case piss off and eat some of your horrible food.

  • @mazakiel dig your tacos ranchero...neither student or an artist. It's quite clear that you are talking about yourself..

  • @Camerador I'm a ranchero =]. Dig tacos? I should be insulted right? Tacos are better than snails anyway. It's clear that I'm pretty close to the truth. Don't bullshit me.

  • I officially adore this man now!

  • hes the next george lucas. i actually think hes better but thats just me :P

  • i thought the same but lucas had a lot of things that Del toro dont. but both are amazing.

  • Money?...and............money?

  • Oh please, George Lucas doesn't even come close to the imagination and directional talent of Guillermo Del Toro.

Steven Spielberg on the other hand, now he's still creating visually wonderful movies.

  • stephen spielberg...he was ok. was being the key word

  • George Lucas is pretty overrated but i still like the star wars movies.Steven Spielberg is pretty ok Guillermo Del Toro\ is a more likable guy

  • i love this guy

  • The man's a genius.

  • "There are things in the woods that are older and meaner than us. They have been there before."

  • Adoro a Guillermo DelToro!

  • bored here

hey hey. if ne1 is reading this. 4u

  • This guy is a brilliant director.

  • @JayJoey7 Yeah ! finally a great talented Mexican =)

  • Considering your name is 'shrooms', i would figure you would like Pan's labyrinth because its sort of dream like/druggy?? LOL idk.

  • He said that he wants to direct 'Deathly Hallows'.

Guillermo del Toro told MTV today that he is "definitely interested" in helming the seventh and final Harry Potter movie "now that the movies have grown darker."

  • All franchises are shit? Since when? They can turn to shit if a bad director or producer takes over, or can be run into the ground like alot of horror movie franchises, but some franchises are good. They aren't all endemically shit.

  • yeah, whatever pal.

  • wow you win, white flag

  • Yeah, I know.

Funny thing is, my last comment was just as well structured and thought-out an argument as yours was.

  • fuck yes, he's perfect

  • Pan's Labyrinth should have won the oscar for best foreign film, not to mention should have been nominated for best picture...the movie is a masterpiece

  • @hustle3999

We shall accept that the oscar is won by the movie than is going to make more money not the best, such is te case of Love is a bitch and Crounching tiger hidden dra... or galdiator i do not watch the oscar any more such disapoitment i better check on cannes or sundace or afi.

  • I'd say underrated, with a good amount of people (fans) wanting it to be overrated.

  • If you have no heart I suppose.

  • Ah pero que bien me cae este cuate

  • Se parece un poco mas delgadito, me aquerod cuando Memo estaba bien gordito....Se ve mucho mejor YA!!!

  • d best Director!!!!

  • guillermo is brilliant...also check out his interview on npr regarding the movie ...go see pan's labyrinth...

  • Has he lost weight?

  • jajajajajaja harry potter jajaja

eey Guillermo del Toro Rocks big time!!

    Pan's labyrinth is a masterpiece

  • You are so correct....and even calling this movie a "masterpiece" does not begin to give it enough praise. It is a stunning work of art...

  • isnt this guy what harry potter would look like when he turns 40 :P

  • haha I really would like to have the notebook
