That is a 78 or 79 monte. The 77 and older monte's had an opera window that was seperated from the door window by a piece of metal about 2 inches wide. Not only that, they didnt start wrapping the hood downwards into the fenders until 78. Sorry, but I collect montes. It 's my job to know what I'm lookin at!
a 2000 monte carlo ss would prolly beat a 2000 max it has 240 hp and the max has 222 yea but a max with supercharger would smoke any chevy exept vette and no excuses that was a v8 losers
That was a 3rd Generation 1978-1988 Monte Carlo, not a '77. They came equipped with a 231 V6 or an optional 305 V8, both of which were dogs from the factory, thanks to the Democrate Lefty imposed CAFE standards.

Guys, no use in starting an arguement. I own a Maxima SE, rated at 225 HP stock from factory. The Monte was and is a good car for the year it was built in. I am actually a huge fan of the 350 small block but todays newer cars are capable of doing much more with less than cars from 30 years ago. No question about it you take a "new" or "modern" 350 say like in the Impala SS and the Maxima will not compete with it in stock form.
first of all FUCK RICE BURNERS and there is nothing done to that monte carlo under that hood yea ill admitt that the 305' may be a bit guttless but a 350 would rape the nissan and dont evin compare to a 69 camaro...obviously the camaro would fuckin win

Well the only thing about that MonteCarlo is we don't know what this guy did to that engine over the years. Remeber a stock Montecarlo would've been burnt by todays Max but he has something under that hood we don't know about or Max GLE took it easy on him, we didn't see the speed.
i just raced a maxima on the highway, he was fullthrottle when i was half, we were neck and neck, then i went full, but could'nt pull away cuz i didn't go all the way in the beginning, and my monte is an ls, i truthfully didn't think it was that quick, but go Montes!!!!!!!!!1
