Christianity heralded in the dark ages with their superstitions and hostility towards anything that wasn't Christian. Wars have been fought for many reasons, but only the middle eastern Abrahamic religions fight over religion.
@Th3PiloT1995 Wikipedia says for the movie: "The main theme of the movie is taken from the tune "The Gael" by Scottish singer-songwriter Dougie MacLean."
@TheDavid2222 You know that it was in Christian nations where science first took off right? That its in, at least nominally, Christian nations where science has become so advanced? If it weren't for Christianity we might not be watching youtube at all!
@pythagerus123 wow that's about the dumbest flase observation I have EVER heard. If you can't figure out why that is then it isn't worth my time to explain things to you.
@pythagerus123 That... is an incomplete observation. The western tradition of science started in Greece, then was kept alive largely by the Arabic, muslim nations during the Dark Ages, started to make a resurgence in the European Christian nations during the Rennaisance, and really took off during the Enlightenment following the Protestant Reformation- the Enlightenment also spawning deism and later atheism, and representing a significant weakening of religious influence on Western thought.
Youtube answer system leave much to be desired (don't want to necessary let the @name in my commentary...), so I add this was an answer to satanneverdies's comment.
i was in a geography lesson once and the teacher said, "madagascar is an island off the coast of africa." and about 10 people said "NO, it's a movie, stupid." this was in about year 8

dougie maclean actually composed this song. it's one of my favorites
illinois1776 2 years ago 3
To you people saying it's from Last of the Mohicans, it's not, it predates LOTM, this tune was just used in the movie but not made for it.
It's as annoying as all the people thinking that "I like to move it" was made for the movie Madagascar (it wasn't). But that's another story.
