My head on this went to nothing, yours was nuts - I would consider this more of a chilli beer - the cocoa nibs are bitter and are more related to the hop use in the beer, unlike roasted malts in stouts.

Probably pretty good for an american brew most people are so un-american nowadays wont even drink the beer we make it has to be foreign well domestics keep our economy lively for all the naysays nice review as well.
This is why many countries hate Americans. You are ignorant and uneducated. Cocao nibs are nothing like the chocolate you Americans are used to. Cocao isn't sweet at all, and is very bitter. The idea of this beer is not to create an Americanized "sweet chocolate" beer, but to replicate flavors from the past.
This, along with Midas Touch are probably the weakest beers I've had from Dogfish Head. You can definitely taste a little bit of the cocoa nibs and get a little heat from the ancho chiles....but there isn't a lot of flavor going on there. It's not a bad beer, but it's not something I'd seek out again from Dogfish Head.
The inebriated reviews are few and far between, but they are very excellent and honestly I do love how the seriousness tries to peer through! Better than me, I've tried to make similar like videos and just gave up :P
if there was ever a beer that tasted like feet, this be the one... i had this at dogfish head night t the ruck, and i thought it tasted like armpit. to bad i forgot to comment on it. worst beer i ever had from dogfish head.
I would not considering this a chocolate beer at all. It's made with cocca nibs, not chocolate proper. I had this on tap and it tasted very weird. It smelled like a locker room. Didn't like the Midas Touch either.
Just listening to what goes in this brew and then seeing the color I have to say Mr. Imafo is probably correct on how this tastes. Interesting food paring...probably not the best but interesting. I think Jet gave it a five as well. It's nice to see Dogfish get a grade of average. I love the Dogfish I have had, but knew there had to be a so-so brew in there somewhere.
That glass your wife is using is awesome...I've wanted to get my hands on some dogfish head forever now I need to look for it next time I cross the border.
I love that they put chilles in there though, not something one would expect. Awesome label, and colour.
