I have heard the album and the album is really, really good. Critics agree and so 99.9 percent of the fans. It's one of her best, if not the best. I think people are going to love this album. There is sooo much variety.
I love Stevie Nicks soooooo much, and have seen her a zillion times in concert. I have to say I'm not crazy about the new material. The last stuff I really loved was selected tracks from the Say You Will album and "Love Is" from Trouble in Shangri-La.
But I haven't loved the Street Angell, Shangri-La albums...this one doesn't rock my boat. I prefer the darker intense Stevie (ie Storms, Bella Donna, NightBird, Illume).

@genegenie29 I disagree - although I fully support your right to have contrarian views. I have been very harsh with Stevie's work (after years of obsessive & non-critical adulation of everything she ever did), especially after her Red Rocks era. For a good decade I thought her voice/music was largely crap (Street Angel, Other Side of Mirror, Behind the Mask). I do feel her voice is significantly improved here and I admit I really like what I have heard so far. She's no saint, but is quite good.
I just can't wait any longer, sounds incredible so far,,still play Trouble in Shang-ri-la most days, so this might just take over for a while, Over the moon, Thanks Miss Nicks.
This album also has the first single "Secret Love" (which peaked at #19 on the Billboard Adult Contemporary chart last I knew) and the country-ish "Cheaper Than Free" duet with Dave Stewart.

@genegenie29 I disagree - although I fully support your right to have contrarian views. I have been very harsh with Stevie's work (after years of obsessive & non-critical adulation of everything she ever did), especially after her Red Rocks era. For a good decade I thought her voice/music was largely crap (Street Angel, Other Side of Mirror, Behind the Mask). I do feel her voice is significantly improved here and I admit I really like what I have heard so far. She's no saint, but is quite good.

I don't think She ever went away. I saw Stevie in Las Vegas during the Mac's Unleashed Tour and She and the Mac were friggin' AWESOME!! I'm gonna see her and Rod Stewart in Oakland, CA on April 20th and I'm sooo excited. This is going to be the best birthday present and mother's day present for me. My BD is May 10th. and I'm taking my boys to go see her. Stevie, my 18 yr old son has seen her a few times with me but my 11 yr old son who is also a fan has never seen her live. I Can't Wait!

Stevie hasn't lost a thing because she's still writing like a champ. She has always been about the songwriting, and the performance has always been second. She has said that a million times. The fact that her performances are good is a bonus. I'm almost 50, and my hope is to be as vital as she is at 62. To all the naysayers, let's see how creative and vital you are wile you are desperately looking forward to Social Security and Medicare. Go get your hips replaced and STF.

To popmusic1967: Welcome to the family! I urge you to buy all of her albums. They are classics. She is one of the best singer/songwriters around! And to tweedle3: Stevie had better win a Grammy on this one. It tore me up to see her lose her last Grammy nomination for Planets Of The Universe. To all fans: we need to get Stevie her OWN star on the Hollywood Walk of Fame! Not that she needs that validation, but it would be nice.

Stevie is MY GIRL! I've been listening to her for over 30 yrs, and love her mystical persona. Loved her with Fleetwood Mac, but her solo albums were awesome too, especially "Bella Donna", my all-time favorite of hers. Can't wait for this CD to come out! She's still gorgeous!
