That fight scene with Yuen Biao I would have felt like it would be more realistic if he used Wing Chun instead of what looked like kick boxing or whatever.
which island depended on which side of america they landed on. angel island's in california and ellis island's in new york, so for most chinese it was more convenient to land in the western part of america.
Yeah, you'd think that West coast is more convenient. Historically tho, Calif. Chinatown is biggest in N. America, probably due to immigration from Gold Rush days. How so many Chinese end up in NYC? Thats a good question.
@xuethao the white guy knows alot about chinese culture and able to understand cantonese but he doesn't speak it for whatever reason, it's possible. Anyway this is a fantasy movie and the chinese are the main star. Ok?

I feel proud when i see Chinese Dragon dances. Unfortunately, even in NYC, I dont see decent performances of this art. Perhaps in West Coast?

i thought all immigrants only from Europe went through ellis island. immigrants from asia went through angel island.
