Boycoting French product may also hurt some Chinese employee hired by French companies. So a better solution is blasting the subway trains in Paris. That way, we can easilly send a message about how we feel through this non-violant protest.
Hey how much credibility does one give to CCTV and Xinhua news. HAHAHHAHH!!!!!!! please say "thank you" to FRANCE for giving you the right to protest, for if you are in China you would be put in jail. What a bunch of heartless, ill educated, brainwashed idiots. Robots of china's propaganda machine. WAKE UP!!!!!!! Many of the protesters would love to live in France. This protest is the work of the Chinese gov.
Gomeying, I'm well aware that protests take place throughout China every day. My comment had nothing to with whether protesting as such is allowed in China. Although I do know that protests are not always dealt with so kindly in your country. At the beginning of this video there's a clip of Chinese nationals protesting against the French government and French media in Paris!!! My point - Western expats in China would never get away with an anti-CCP/anti-CCTV protest in, say, Tiananmen Square.
It's a basic concept that if you are in other people's country you have to obey law and customs in the country. Do you expect you can wear topless in Middle East or protesting against socialism in China?
The west wants freedom of speech etc fine but please don't affect other countries. I see a lot of bad things associated with free economy, speech, etc.
Give normal repect to other culture is the basic thing in this world.
viet1963 why would u say france gave china the right to protest. chinese ppl are free to protest or not to protest as they wish. u can't apply a standard on chinese ppl of when or how they should do it or not.
I'm going to plan an anti-Xinhua, anti-CCTV protest at Tiananmen square, and I'm going to invite a couple hundred of my Western expat buddies - we're going to chant slogans, wave our nations' respective flags, defend the right to protest ... and demand that Chinese media stop being so blatantly one-sided. Since China evidently allows protests now, this shouldn't be a problem, right?
peetiro if u do that u will get booed off and might get arrested. to chinese ppl protests like that mean u are disrespectful to china. too bad but that's how it works even if u dont like it *shrugs*
This is so not true. The french police did a good job, even the local french people are against these police when they are doing their job.
I'm a student in Paris and I was there.
That anti-french story show up just this morning on local news. Bad for both Chinese and French.
If you are here, you'd realise neither western or chinese media are saying the truth... so people just believe what they would like to believe... sad but true...

there are more than 1000 protests in China every day. only stupid people think that you cannot protest in china.
Of course your western media will not report the protests in China as they are nothing to do with the west.
People in China do not believe in the media but people in the west do. They think their media are better and fairer.

Apart from people in China.
Why do not they obtain information on the truth?
They live in foreign countries to which information is not restricted...
