I remember when Alcorn, blow on GSU for the 1999 Windy City Classic in Chicago. We were marching in, and Alcorn played Meeting In My Bedroom, this used to be a band that held up to Sounds Of Dyn-O-Mite

Yes Texas Southern played it. Maybe it's because the person that wrote Torture for Alcorn is now Texas Southern's Assistant Band Director. He took his song to Texas Southern with him when he was hired by them. Clarence Gibson wrote Torture for Alcorn in '99 and we played it all year. We wore Grambling's ass out in Chicago that year.

OK, what really went down was Alcorn was unprepared for what Grambling was gon bring to the table. Grambling did not repeat any of the songs theys played unlike Alcorn they evidently ran out of songs, and even in the 5th quarter they all Alcorn did was play the songs they played on the field and maybe 1 or 2 "new" songs. So overall...GSU Band got they ass, GSU Team got in they, and Alcorn all together (was unprepared) SUCKED!!! P.S. There's always next year!
