  • i wish this was a full movie

very well done, it makes me want to know her story, verry well done

  • Even though almost nothing really happens with the narrative, I kept watching because it felt like something was about to happen. I'm not disappointed - I mean, maybe that's the point.

  • this is really weel done, lost of emotion..somthing about it..this is going to my faves (:

  • Great lighting, fantastic acting. Editing was dreadful. Scenes were cut much later than they needed to be. Could have been a lot shorter. As far as story goes... Not very easy to follow. Great all in all!

  • Margot Sikabonyi is one of the greatest and most talented italian actresses!!

    I LOVE HER!!! ♥

  • ok ?

  • nn sn riuscita a capire tutto... help... traduzione di quasi tuto.. kix by italian girl

  • Ciao... --Jeff

  • she is an italian actress and she is the best!!she can act in english too!!she's fantastic as like an actress as like a person!!

  • interrogation

  • okay, for all you haters: the girl was supposed to act like a drug-addict who didn't get her shot for a while and is really messed up. And from experience, this is a very good movie, because it's exáctly portraited as it usually goes.

One, the girl acts really well, the bitten-down fingers, with nail-polish-rests is a nice detail...

Two, I like the movie, because it doesn't have the cliché storylines, you just get a glimpse of her life, and it catches you, whén you're willing enough to look.

  • And three, the script is really good actually, because it could have been an áctual scene in real life -in contrary to a lot of movies where it seems that the actors are just saying their lines, without actually meaning what they say.

Okay okay, the girl with the black hair could have used some extra acting lessons, but hey, don't we all....

  • i don't like the lighting, but they have obviously done a lot of work on it

  • Too much work if you ask me. It looks like they completely wasted their time. I feel sorry for the grips. Poor guys probably had to sit through hours of making this and when hey saw the finished project their like "We wasted two weeks for that?!!!"

  • Wow. Ew. Andrew Moxham, suicide. Learn how to edit.

  • wow!!!!! simple things can really hit you!

    really nice clip!!!

  • The actress who played Annie: Margot. Her character that she decided to portray absolutely drove me nuts with the moving back and forth ALL THE TIME!!! I wondered if the other characters noticed it... It was so... distracting that I had difficulty watching the movie without feeling an extremely irritated.

  • That's what her fidgeting was meant to do.

  • Oooof!! Really? Hmmmm... Well I guess I personally feel a strong dislike for it...

  • I completely agree with you!!!

I think this is one of the worst Films I have ever seen

  • :D FINALLY SOMEONE WHO FEELS MY HATRED!!!!! :D :D :D

You deserve my butterfly pendant award: Ƹ̵̡Ӝ̵̨̄Ʒ

  • pretty sure he guessed when he said he was 25 ;PP

  • The story says all about the drug addict who comes to the bar seeking for shelter for sometime, where she comes across two men trying to make the best of this helpless drug addict. The message is not clear, like EvilGreek said its a moment captured, thats kinda different genre, but then there should be something that gives out a message and as well should be intriguing and make the audience cry or laugh and in anyway react. The movie ended abruptly. Over all I would give it a 2 star

  • Good job !

  • yah dude that short movie is mysterious a little and every one her have his point of view, that's way like I say this was a good job a good short movie with a lots of dimension and enigma, respect guys, and please don't stop leaves comments that in infect points of views.

  • I liked it.

It was just a moment captured and nothing more. I've always enjoyed little shoebox stories like these because you can explore characters and emotions in the most subtle way, yet not have to patronize people with "messages" or "meanings". Fair play.

  • that's why the movie's name is Standing On One Leg, she's on her own, a beautiful blond in an danger and cruel world, every one see her just like fresh meat, aohhh man that short movie mean an lots I give my respect for those ho make it realy good job realy, keep the good work.

  • and the second think is, did you see her fingers and the way she hide theme, the way she put her fingers the same way like she smoke, the first one too old and clever for her and danger too, and the second too stupid and an non interesting, she know it for the first time that she can't hunt, no one offer her and drink, and that beautiful brunette make her plan falling in shit, so she go out to hunt someone else, giver her money protect her,and feed her with two kind of meat :D

  • damn, you're straight, I like that

the thing is that blond take drugs, did you see the way she moves, she can't stand still an minute and she out of money so she want to hunt someone to give here or to steal from him by indirect way some money, so that blond... she's not stupid, the only stupid thing she doing, that she takes these shits

  • Good film. Its kinda hard to understand what the film is saying. Some comments might be right, but i was hoping if the creators of this short could give us some info.

  • Bad Mask at the beginning;)

  • lol i notice too

  • ...What does it mean? I got..."What goes around come around"...and that everyone was lying about how old they were...

  • I get it, she entered the bar... to see if anyone would get her a free drink. Both, ass wholes never offered one so she left. simple. i dont see any other point director tried to pursue. *Good film. very well done.

  • O_O Wow... That. Was. Amaaaaziiiiiiiing... I'm taking computer animation and I just finished my first semester film class. If I could attain even a BIT of that filmmaking... MASTERY by my third year, I'll be happy. The angles, the shots, the lighting, the movement, the performance... everything was PERFECT!!! ^^ I ♥'d it!!!!!

  • i know theres stuff im not getting but i think at the end shes talking about "you dont sell angels" meaning she went in there loking for an angel and everyone had a subtext/ ulterior motive. but whats that flapping sound?

  • this film doesn't mean anything, right?

  • I like this. I mean really liked it!

This is art. I'm gonna watch this couple of times a again, to understand all the things.

Everyone is lieng their ages, 'cause their trying to hide something? Or is it just something else...?

  • I think I'm gonna have to watch this a few times to understand it fully, haha...

Still, lovely little film. Keep up the good work. :)

  • how dont u get it , its about a girl who repels everyone

  • i think i get what it means

  • she is 19 at a bar.... i dont get it....

  • In Canada legal age is 18 or 19 depending in which province you are...

  • Hmmm. Uhhh. Beginning, middle and end much?

  • OOOKay

  • im baffed...and this is long....laterz

  • I really enjoy it. The beleiveabilty in the writing was top notch. I can definately see you writing future features. Good luck.

  • I didn't understand it completely, but I enjoyed it. It was really different & I liked the way she reacted differently to the two men. Definately favouriting this to keep for watching again.

  • YUCK OVER EXPOSED WINDOW BEHIND HER!!!! the white blance was off too... it looked soo video

  • I rate this a 7out of 10 beacuse off all the stuff thats in it and the props and acting but i dont get it.

  • Superficially its a movie about nothing... but... watch it again, and look deeper, you'll start seeing some themes and ideas emerging. The ideas and themes drawn will change from person to person, because actually, its not a movie about nothing; its a mirror (if you look hard enough)

Personally i kept finding that they were all in need of something (a place to stay, a quick lay, the opinions of others, another person's smile). yes i overananlyze, but theres so much out there to see!

  • i really really liked this, was she tweekin or what

  • great if i was in the mood to analyze something. otherwise it wasn't that fulfilling

  • Wow...Margot Sikabonyi, a well known and famous Italian actress.

  • it's about how society forces people in to a corner, how if you don't have money, you are not allowed anything even some of the basic freedoms. how if you are young then people automatically assume that you are immature and inexperienced, also you don't have voice.

those of you who don't get it, try to see beneath the surface meaning of the film.

  • i agree with everything but the young bit.

I don't think it has anything to do with being young/inexperienced.

What I do find very interesting though is how the older man and the younger man ask the same questions and get a totally different reaction from her. That is where the difference between young and old is shown.

I felt very suspicious of the older man, even though i knew there was a chance he was just a good guy. I found myself less threatened by the young guy, just like her.

  • does anyone else think the older guy looks and sounds a little like a thicker version of kevin spacey??? hahaha :)

  • um..didn't get it..

  • I like it a lot.

  • as i see it the point of the movie is that people who are given to smoking, become irritable and restless when prevented from smoking ... there are no villains here .. well brought out video !

  • sorry but way off

  • I liked it.. Although like a lot of people, i didn't get the point of the story...

Random, the actress has perfect teeth :)

  • ????

  • that old guy is full creepy.

  • who played the fifty year-old man?

  • They really need to switch to a different radio station in that bar...

  • It was decent, thats it. Only saving grace was Margot Sikabonyi

  • it was some what entertaining. I didnt get the point of it though.

  • Very good. Would like to see more of this kind of thing.

  • heeyyy, she is not 19teeeen

  • hm, she's a pretty fine actress:D the cinematography was pretty gud too...I'm just not sure what message this was trying to get across:/

  • Wow, very interesting... this would be great as a full film... really good stuff...

  • it didn't really go anywhere, but she was interesting to watch.

  • I didn't get it. What does she say at the end? something about angels?

  • Something like "I can't believe it's christmas and you guys don't even sell angels"

    or..something. @_o

  • she say, it's Christmas and I don't even sell angels, she want to say I should sell angels in the moment, and she want to mean that she's poor and she don't have money

  • It was ok but I didn't really get it... I mean I guess I know what you were trying to do but it kinda just had no point. It seemed as though it was just about one girl and you couldn't really tell if the waiter and waitress knew her before or they just met her.

  • She looked a little too made up to be homeless. If they were going for realism. She should have looked different.

  • Have you been to Vancouver? A lot of people don't "look" homeless. The people who struggle and actually want to live in a home and get a real job look very normal.

  • completely agree!

  • I liked this.

  • WTF you put that tags... 3ds max, maya.... you just waste my time waiting for some 3D graphics...

    anyway... nice video...:)

  • Hehe! Jacueline! xD

  • wow

  • that was pretty good

  • Interesting to see how her face lit up when the bartender hit on her. LOL. I'm glad she walked out on both. It's tough being homeless. I was for a year. Be strong, be smart. Swallow your pride and ask for help from someone you know and can trust.
