i dont know if theres an english version of it, but theres a movie based on the story of karl koch and these hacks... kind of the other perspective of this case. the movie´s called "23 - Nichts ist so wie es scheint"

Thanks for posting this. I remember watching this as a kid on PBS around the time I just got into computers.  I didn't really understand the computer bits at the time, but I sitll found it fascinating. The book is great, too.
