Forgive me for sounding cynical and skeptical, but doesn't one think that, even though this song has a strong sense of righteous indignation and global awareness for a sad problem, that it would be these celebrities who would be the first to either volunteer their time and/or money in order to eradicate hunger and poverty and to give those in need some dignity? Phil isn't exactly hurting for cash. He has a palatial estate in Switzerland. He could afford to give something to alleviate poverty.

I always want to help, but sometimes I don't know how. My mom says never give money to someone on the street, only canned food or something, because sometimes ithey only want drugs. I know that may be true, but there are those that need money and not for drugs. And even those that do want drugs, they're still people. We need to have faith in people and trust them to make the right decisions when we hold out a hand to them. Every person without a home or food, they have my love and hope.

Forgive me for sounding cynical and skeptical, but doesn't one think that, even though this song has a strong sense of righteous indignation and global awareness for a sad problem, that it would be these celebrities who would be the first to either volunteer their time and/or money in order to eradicate hunger and poverty and to give those in need some dignity? Phil isn't exactly hurting for cash. He has a palatial estate in Switzerland. He could afford to give something to alleviate poverty.

I always want to help, but sometimes I don't know how. My mom says never give money to someone on the street, only canned food or something, because sometimes ithey only want drugs. I know that may be true, but there are those that need money and not for drugs. And even those that do want drugs, they're still people. We need to have faith in people and trust them to make the right decisions when we hold out a hand to them. Every person without a home or food, they have my love and hope.
