Man I got to say you must have the form perfectly in your head. But really you should make your bass drum a little more fatter and harder to beef up your sound. Cause your hitting kinda soft, seriously I know drummers the lift and workout just for their playing. Maybe you should do that it might help
Hey, I remember now, this I played too, in front of 250+ people at the local music school. Hell, I was nervous (12 years old or so). Good effort, very nice!
Your time is OK, and the mechanics are pretty good. You really need to throw in some double strokes and other rudiments (especially on the Hi Hat notes) to fatten up the sound. Remember, basic rudiment development are the basic building blocks for our art. Good job.
The MR-8HD allows four simultaneous tracks, so after recording I could mix the whole drum part. When I'm a recording a four instrument-band, I mix my 4 microphones first on a mixer before going in to the recorder.
Well, some 10 years! But I rehearsed this piece not very well, I played it some years ago for a while and wanted to play it again. I think in fact I keep the rhythm reasonable, but the bass drum notes are a little bit throwing it off balance, it's a little bit tricky to play that two eight notes after each other; it's a weak point of mine but maybe it's also a little bit my pedal.
This is printed on the cymbals: '14" medium hi hat top/bottom'. No other specification. It's the serie which comes before the one you can find on Paiste's site now.
great drummer

the bass drum in the beginning is wrong.
he has to open the hi hat and play the bass drum at the same time but the bass is too late ...

C'mon man! Add some color to your playing! Fills, solos, crashes, and perhaps double bass! Add anything to it. Any drummer can do that.
Your not bad, but you should add more color and improvisation to drumming, especially when you video-tape it.

How did you get all those mics into the two simultaneous tracks the MR-8 allows?

next time u play a 16th note groove add some 30 second notes in it......it will add more affect to your playing

You muffled your bass drum way too much. Let it be a lot more projecting I can barely hear it.
