Hi I like the hair just wondering how do you start off your yarn twists so it twists with your own hair? I am trying to get more into wearing my hair in braids and twists. I just did my own braids with synthetic hair and it took all day literally. So any suggestions I would appreciate. Thanks.
ps I use aphogee too and it works well, but I think i want to make my own shampoos and conditioners because the stuff on the market uses too many chemicals that can be harmful to our hair.
o them braids came out too cute! i keep hearing that Aphogee is good... i looked at it in the hair store today, and that's all i did... just look... lol because i saw the price, but i will pick it up next time i go!
Too get nu locs or "yarn braids" and the place I know to get it done it costs $350 without tipping. That's ridiculous since I'll be getting rid of it in 2 months. It's a nightmare to hear that kind of price when the yarn costs so little and I can invest the time.
ApHogee is a good product. I used it alot when I was in my transitioning stage of going natural. My hair had stopped breaking off so much. I now use it every now and then. It's some good stuff!
Vegetable glycerin and glycerin are different! Glycerin is animal based and may have some harmful chemicals. But vegetable glycerin is all natural and good for your hair. Glycerin can be found everywhere (ex: walmart), but vegetable glycerin usually can only be found at health food stores etc... Don't use glycerin Nappystar!!!
u look good girl. I think its important to also say that the Aphogee is only to be used every 6 weeks or as necessary. I only used it twice and didn't feel the need to use it again and i bought the littlest bottle they have and there is still so much in there.
I had a hard time finding the treatment online :/ but found out they changed the name to "Two-Step Protein Treatment" Thanks for the info. I will definitely try now :D
Oh wow your yarn twists look fabulous!!! And you did it on short hair. My hair is currently about your legnth so this may be a great protective style :). Can you PLEASE do a how to video next time you decide to put them in?
