  • i set my course adjustment pretty tight, like the lure moves real slow coming down, but it still gets that back lash, is there something else i need to adjust in order for that course adjustment to perform better?

  • why does that line look like floss

  • or i could just use my sea fishing rod for all purposes and use 80lb line

  • ThenorthwoodsFS, thank you for the info.

  • What rod and reel are you using in this video? I am interested in purchasing them.

  • @MrFisherman1999 hey man, the reel he is using i believe is the Okuma Serrno 200W.

Im not positive about the rod but im confident that it is the Okuma C3 rod.

the whole combo will cost around MSRP: $310 Hope this Helps

  • What would be a good all around fishing rod power? I fish crankbaits, spinnerbaits, and jigs. I was wondering, should I get a medium or a medium heavy? I just got a baitcaster. Thanks.

  • does anyone else see all those fish right along the bank?

  • @icausedthis most likely bluegill or sunfish, a pond by the dairy my dad worked at is alot like that. the sunfish there will go after lures even twice their size and they love dry pet food and aged tuna

  • Just bought a new baitcaster reel and rod this video helps out alot thanks...

  • Thumbs up for the guy in the backround at 3:28.

  • On my revo STX when I set my spool tension knob to the tightest, my 1/2 ounce jig falls fast enough to get a backlash when it hits the ground without casting, is this normal?

  • @ElvisFish411 - adjust the tension knob so it tight enough so the lure doesnt fall fast

  • @ElvisFish411 adjust the braking too....

  • i need help! my spool wont spin. like when i click the thumb release it works fine but when i spin the handle, the handle spins but the spool doesnt, and he thumb relese doesnt go up. so i manually have to click it up..whts wrong with it??

  • @billygtrg try opening your side pannel and taking youy spool out as if you were changing the bearings or cleaning it, and look to see if a stray piece of line snuck behind your spool, thats happend to me many times

  • thanks a bunch man simple and straight foreword! great post

  • How do you know what baitcaster to get what if its to long or to short?

  • awsome instructions helped alot

  • nice vid. thank

  • wow 50lb I was wondering why it looked so thick.

I got a Diawa Alphas and used to run 10lb pe, but went up to 16lb pe, it's still very light, maybe too light.

  • mate what kind of braid/mono are you running on that reel, it looks awful thick.

  • meth addiction

  • Patrick, There are a lot of fish in the pond, mostly small but I have caught a few bass. I have caught a lot of perch in the winter (ice fishing). Also there are rumors of some big pike in there. Defiantly worth checking out.

If you want to see some ice fishing from high park be sure to check out the getreeled video channel and look for the GOPRO review video.

    Thanks for the comment.
