while i agree with yr take on the movie, you've got to admit, the actor they had playing not just ian curtis but all of joy division/new order were talentless cunts. while i enjoyed the movie, i would've praised it had the band been illustrated in a slightly less insulting manner. however, given the aim of the film maybe having quite possibly the worst portrayal of one of factory's most important band was intentional.

Come on 24hpp its a fucking comedy for gods sake! even in the trailer said so, control its a dramatic movie, without mention the cinematography and the photography behind it, 24hpp looks like it was recorded with a cellphone cam almost, once again i don't think you can compare those movies, they are very different movies... with different approaches... and yes.. isn't just about Joy Division or Ian Curtis like Control...
totally agree with both of you! just viewed the first part of the movie and i dont like it because of bad presentation of joy division. if you've watched 'control' before that one, you'll totally hate all the joy division scenes.. they are bloody dull and ian curtis is presented as an cocky arsehole. though i'm looking forward to watch the rest of the movie, hoping the time after joy division is better.
It sucks what happened to Ian. At least he had balls in the manner that he decided to do the deed in. One positive was that New Order was able to form after his passing. RIP Ian.
