  • deals cannot be broken, but hearts.

  • This is so great .....

  • Endlich klare i-Vokale!!!!!Vielen Dank!!!!!!!!!!Schön gesungen!Bravo!

  • @HAThorsten

    schwachsinn!!! ....

  • REALLY NOT GOOD

  • brava!

  • if this was actual a real story and I was Pamina, I wouldnt be able to sing because the fact would be I would be feeling my heart shatter into a million pieces.

  • Beautiful! I could not get enough listening to this wonderful aria in various interpretations. My favorite is Lucia Popp , posted by leoperarm. Also for fun check the two impossible G♯ above high C in Popoli di Tessaglia!, K.316, for soprano, sang by Edda Moser. The notes are at 6.36 and 6.47.

  • schauspielerisch zum kotzen. gesang sehr hübsch, ohne tiefe. 4/10

  • @kralle7611

  • This aria breaks my heart...I m studing it now...and LOVE IT!!!!

  • beautiful clear voice.

i have heard many opera singers sound like they are about to lay an egg.not her.

  • LOL! That is a great metaphor!

  • muito bonita a interpretação desta cantora. Obrigada por colocar este video .

    Alguso.Brasil

  • O wie schön!

  • beautifulbeautifulbeautiful!!!

  • So far, THE Pamina of the 21st century, and perhaps the only genuine angelic-lyric voice currently out there. And she's fun to watch, also!

  • I disagree. I think she attacked the C just perfectly and her glissando was just fine. I really don't think it was any stronger than others attack it.

  • tHI SWAS THE BEST CLIP OF THIS ARIA i HAVE SEEN SO FAR

  • Listen to Elisabeth Grümmer (Grummer) singing this aria and wonder ! Owner of the clip is "iforgeti".

  • Impeccable!

  • I'm happy for watching it. Very good!

  • Brava!!!Brava!!!Interpretazione perfetta!!!

  • a great lyric soprano! :-)

  • I agree and as it develops more it will become that much greater. I completely agree with you.

  • GLORIOSO

  • Really great!

  • great voice...beautiful performance!!!

  • does anyone have lyrics

  • Simply amazing !

  • A wonderful Pamina.

  • What an amazing singer!!!!!!!!

  • I love her voice....she is such beautiful and from nature and use very healthy produced..... Brava!

  • She's fabulous. Do you by chance have the "Tamino Mein!" scene? I imagine she sounds brilliant on that as well.

  • Is there anyway by chance that you can upload the part where Pamina is about to do Suicide but the Three Boys stop her? I've been trying to find that part for awhile but all I found was the one by Kathleen Battle.

  • when she starts singing, I feel like im gonna cry. It was really beautiful and one of the best I've seen.

  • Wonderfully performed, truly. Ended beautifully, and the orchestration choices by the conductor are truly beautiful. One beef- I hate when sopranos (being one) do the "now I'm going to sing" face, and just stop acting.

But, she has a wonderful voice, and it's wonderfully acted when she gets into it.

  • wow, i think i found my favorite Pamina!

  • De las mejores "Paminas".

    Escena y vocalidad, cojonudas.

  • this is the most physically i've ever seen someone perform this aria.

    brava.

  • She´s amazing... Simply, the best mozartian singer these days!

  • A lovely instrument!!

  • ....wow...

  • Genia is one of the last sopranos, who sings Mozart with a perfect belcanto-technique and with soul!!! She is wonderful and for me the best Pamina, who makes me cry.

  • Yes, I agree. I haven't seen this video in a while and I'm brought to tears AGAIN toward the end. This is my favorite aria!!

  • Genia is wonderful! She is one of the last Sopranos, who are able to sing a perfect belcanto-piano. No wonder, that Riccardo Muti said about her, she had an "italian" voice. And I heard, that the famous Director Ioan Hollender of the Vienna State Opera said about her, that she is the world best Pamina.

    I think, that's right!

  • Good start and end but unfortunately a bit flat here and there. Nice voice but prefer the version by Sophie Karthäuser by far.

  • Oh yes, she is great!!! Thank you for posting this, Paddy.

  • the fluidity in her voice is stunning.

  • I love the ring she manages to have in her top. Beautiful.

  • I'm not an expert, but I've heard Kathleen Battle's version and it's amazing... but there's something about this one that I like more... I think her voice is flawless and has something I just can't describe..

  • Yes, it's much more fluid and softer!

  • Yes, I agree that it's more fluid and softer, and I think that contributes to her innocence.

  • Thats because she just has a very quiet voice. My teacher said she saw her(Kathleen Battle) do a recital and she was sitting in the 4th or 5th row from the stage and could barely hear her. She just has a tiny voice. I'm not saying she is a bad singer at all, so dont get me wrong. She is wonderful

  • what are you taling about?

  • i was replying to someone else's comment about Kathleen Battle singing this aria. But for whatever reason my comment didn't attach itself to theirs :P

  • I heard Battle in a 3,000 seat auditorium during her "I'm not so bad" tour after the Met dust-up. I was in the middle of the house and she sounded fine.

  • and sincerity

  • Qué bello. Tiene una voz preciosa. Beautiful!!! I like her performance as much as I like Battle's!!

  • LOvely.

She acts the drama of the song and sounds good and has power. Kathleen Battle does something funny with her mouth.

  • It's true that Kathleen Battle sets the Highest high-water mark for Pamina.

  • I am not so convinced by her acting, but when I closed my eyes, her voice almost made me crie!!!

  • I prefer Kathleen Battle but it's still very nice

  • Her voice is amazing! Her voice is fabulous! I love her. Her voice was cried me. My God, please you guard her and her voice.

  • WUNDERBAR...Sie ist ein Grosses Talent!

  • She's great ! I prefer Kathleen Battle though.

  • Well... that's a Gold Standard performance by Battle:o). This ain't bad for a young artist, but something just isn't clicking for me.

  • Beautiful!!!!!!!!!!

  • I went to Salzburg last summer mainly to hear Pape and Damrau but I was amazed by Genia Kühmeier. There are a lot of Paminas who are better in the beginning as an innocent victim or at the end as a brave woman. Genia is perfect all the time with a pure and rich voice.

  • this is very beautiful. thank you.

  • She's amazing!

  • So beautiful...

  • Very, very nice voice.

    Thanks.
