mcconnell needs to shut up if he doesn't want to contribute to solving our nations problems. whining, complaining, hating, does nothing to solve our problem. it's always easier to moan than to solve. so until you come up with real solutions, you need to shut up
He is full of shit on this issue. Humana violated the rules by sending out a letter that lied and they are NOT allowed to do this while milking the tax payers. He is another crazy GOP'r who is freaking out that his role of alpha is going down the drain as it should.
Humana to repay government $14.5 million for double-dipping Medicare fees
Humana Inc. will pay $14.5 million to the federal government for what investigators allege was the HMO's deliberate scheme to defraud the Medicare system.
I'm still waiting for the source of LLORT3's assertion that 90% of RE foreclosures occur in suburban areas.
But, even if that is partially true, I'm sure there are plenty of people all over the country who got into mortgages that were more than they could afford. And, how can we ignore ACORN's involvement in all of it? Or their people "squatting" in homes to prevent the lenders from exercising their due process? Urban or suburban, it doesn't matter, a default is a default is a default.
This repugnant human garbage is defending the despicable scare tactics of the insurance companies, and some of you irretrievably brainwashed primates are actually supporting him.
STOP WATCH GLEN BECK, and start using fact checking sights like Snopes, Politifact, and Factcheck.
Anyone who does not research the facts and still speaks on political issues should be tried and imprisoned for TREASON.
Medicare providers are not allowed to communicate with plan members about possible changes in benefits, nor to lobby for particular policies or legislation.
So since it's illegal, HHS has every right to tell them to knock it off.
Where have all the media pundits been? Why aren't they defending the erosion of free speech?
Oh, that's right. They only care about certain kinds of speech...and certainly not the kind McConnell and a large percentage of Americans have to offer.
What is happening is our freedoms and rights we have promised to be up held by our elected officials are being stripped by this corrupt and out of control government. The American people must realize that some is fundamentally a miss in Washington,D.C. Now its shut-up and sit down time. What next a gas chamber shower?
Bravo Senator McConnell! How dare the central government "investigate" a company because it has expressed legitimate concerns? And, how dare they issue a gag order to it and to all those companies who provide Medicare Advantage? This is America! We have a right to express our viewpoints! What the heck is happening?
Whether or not they are making statements confirmed by the government, it is illegal for a subsidised Medicare provider to communicate with members or to lobby for particular policies.
The feds are absolutely in the right to warn them. And if they don't comply, it is absolutely warranted to take punitive legal action.
The insurance industry in the USA is just about the most heavily-regulated in the whole country. And, so are banks. And, we know how well that worked for us.
And, I am convinced the Community Reinvestment Act was used to FORCE banks into making loans to those who wouldn't have qualified under normal lending standards. And, when Fannie and Freddie had bought up all the loans they wanted, ACORN pressured Congress to force those agencies to buy more. And, ACORN continued to pressure banks to make more and more of those loans. The pressure never stopped. I saw it with my own eyes in Mpls.; and, I'm sure it was happening in nearly all cities.

I think regulating insurance companies is a good thing, especially if they are going to lie to consumers.
I feel they should be penalized for valuing profits over people.
I also think the GOP should be taken to task for rushing to the defense of such disingenuous actions.

My problem with the so-called regulations is that they are only put in place once and then the banks and ins cos find loopholes to exploit them.
I am convinced the banks caused the recession, not poor blacks.
