and then wtf happend to good video game music i mean some of the stuff today is awsome and good but now it has to be touched up or remastered for what it was awsome then and new ff titles have bland cookie cutter audio is sooo dissapointing i think anyway sigh
@omega2600 cause Zapper101 sucks at choosing good themes but this is one of the few good ones he picked...he doesn't even play the games... -_- kind of hypocritical if you ask me
it is a classic i remember playing it on snes and here is the original sound clip not the remastered version for the ds check it out " IN MY OPINION " you see that my opinion only i think it sounds better that all
1st impressions are also a help. After trying several times to beat Milon/Scarmiglione, you finally take him down and cross the bridge ready to get to a cutscene when he shows up AGAIN. And you haven't saved. Or healed.
I've always had a love/hate relationship with this song. I find that i wish it had more "oomph" to it overall. I have to say i like the updated versions of it for that reason.
The thing I like about these themes is that they're saved for the biggest and baddest bosses. At least plotwise. Although I honestly struggled against Rubicante.
Favorite Final Fantasy. But thing is, they kinda ruined it in the GBA and DS remake. Not that they messed with the storyline or anything, but they made the game much easier by giving you alot more speed at walking (which let you avoid a shitload of annoying fights you'd go through in the SNES version), they gave you those weapons that you could finish the last boss in 3 hits with, and there was something about the enemies that never frustrated me as much as in the SNES version.
I agree the GBA version was much easier, but the DS version was tough, unless you used the abilities like counter and draw attack, then it became easier.
It's been quite some time since I've played it as well. I've been contemplating getting the DS version, but I'm not sure. I have the PSX and GBA versions.
If I recall rightly, this also shows up in the Lunar Subterranne area when you're fighting for the "sacred weapons" . . . or whatever they're called, it's been too long since I played that.

Have you watch Hyadain's remix of this song? I thought it was catchy, and you'd never look at this song the same way again. ;3

Time to remedy that situation.
