Not only was meeting Roy my first anxiety attack, I wound up puking on Roy's silver toed "blue" boots. he was so nice, he made Pat Brady clean it up. Trigger, was smart enough to side step out of the way.All Bullet did was pee on Nellie Belle's back left tire. back tire
@TheAndroia Foy and The Riders Of The Purple Sage is that what they were named? They were awesome. Can't argue with your taste. Thanks for watching and Merry Christmas and Happy New Year. Charlie
"This is an odd one for Roy. There are foreign spies, desert sites for rocket-launching and artificial satellites. The climax is a one-on-one fight on top of an oil derrick ..."
Foy Willing:
"Spoilers of the Plains (writer: "Happy Trails in Sunshine Valley" - uncredited) 1951
@BoudiccaBlanc Roy, should have fought it out out top of the rocket as it was about to launch. Oil derrick fights are always so boring. Thank you for the info. I had a chance to meet Roy when I was four. I was my very first Bona Fide anxiety attack.
"Happy Trails in Sunshine Valley" (Foy Willing) ...
Duke it out on top of the rocket ... LOL
I wish the uploader would change the title (if possible) The song writer deserves credit for his song in the film.
You met R.R.? Wow! that was my dream when I was a little kid. I followed Dale's and Roy's careers until they passed. (I have a book written by Dale too.)
Schockdoc complians about Dale's song elsewhere, too. She did not plagarize. There are 2 songs titled "Have I Told You Lately That I Love You." One is sung by Rod Stewart, the other is a Country standard. Is that plagarism? No, because they're 2 different pieces of work with different melodies, even though the themes are the same. Plagarism is quoting EXTENSIVELY from a work and claiming it to be yours, not taking 2 words from a song and creating something new SD shouldn't slander the dead.
Dale HAD to have gotten the idea from this. Tho her song is different, the first 3 notes (and title) are the same. Foy Willing, who wrote this, said' I had the copyright on this, but didnt do anything about it. I often wondered how they felt about this." Poor foy. Dale is a plagiarist!!!!
Does this song have any other title than "Happy Trails"? and is it available somewhere? I can't find it anywhere including ITunes and some of the search engines.

@bci76179 Thanks for watching. I sure won't argue between Gene and Roy. Have a good day and hurry back and see if you can find something else that you might like. Charlie
In 1951, Foy Willing wrote a song titled "Happy Trails" for the Republic Pictures movie, "Spoilers of the Plains," starring Roy Rogers with Foy Willing and the Riders of the Purple Sage. Subsequently, the first three notes of Foy's song and the title were used by Dale Evans in writing her version of "Happy Trails". Dale's is the version that is popularly played and sung today. Happy Trails was released in 1952 as a 78 RPM and 45 RPM by Rogers and Evans with the Whippoorwills and Orchestra.
@TopazDupree There have been many "singing cowboys." Don't forget Jimmy Dean and Elton Britt among the many others. Thanks for your info and thanks for watching.

I grew up with Dale's song, but I like Foy Willing's version best. I just think it has a happier beat. JMO.

I believe that Roy Rogers was the ONLY KING OF THE COWBOYS. Gene Autry wasn't as good a singer as Roy

Dale Evans stole the title and first 3 notes. Never gave Foy NOTHIN' I always wondered about her and her 'Christian' ways.

Sticks in my mind...was that the same valley that the "jolly green guy " was from? Something to do with peas, or vegetables of some kind.
