The detachable storage and backrest is a great idea along with your own custom ideas. touring bike, yea if you can afford it. My idea of a motorcycle is something I can afford, seeing it is only used 7 months out of the year the rest of the time I'm paying on something that is just sitting in my garage.

These bikes can no longer be considered "grandpa" bikes. These are "THE" bikes to have if you want a cruiser. Don't buy any other Harley unless its a tourer. That's my opinion. These bikes look really cool when they have the 21" front wheel and a lot of chrome! Keep on riding.

I have a 2009 and put the detachable tour pak on when my wife rides along. She likes the comfort of the seat and the added storage for 2 is great. Detachable is the only way to go to maintain the awesome look of this magnificent machine.
