  • why are they rowing Ships?

  • @freshselect27 That is a C4 and starting rowers learn to row in these boats in Holland. These are student rowers, I know because I did it last year. It is a great field of competition with some very good partys before or after the game.

  • @HyperburnSeroo crew isn't a game... it's a race to the finish

  • @freshselect27 why so serious?

  • these girls really need to get in time for the racing start

  • lmao

  • o haha i was looking at the coxon in the yellow and wondering when it was going to happen till i watched it again... O.o

  • That must have been one strange thing to see from the rowers' perspective...

  • Rock out with your cox out.

  • There called Yolas made mainly by salani theey cost about 30 to 40 grand a boat

  • @nick5tar1 They are called C4+ and the price is 12000 euro's and they are build by a lot of companies. Empacher made them too, we have one in my club's boathouse.

  • STOP ROWING!!!

  • Should've rowed on.

  • @MonsterHunturd I'd say so too, but they'd be disqualified if they finished without their cox.

  • at least she can call for breakage

  • Are those canoes of some sort? Seriously? I've never seen boats like that.

  • @TheGoaltender94 They're competitive rowing boats.

  • @knnyphph Ya, I figured, I row too, I just never ever seen boats shaped like that before (flat stern and raised bow?). I'm too used to the racing shells I row in XD

  • this is at the bosbaan in Holland

  • there start was shit

  • @Skullheaddrummer

    there start? where?

  • @ymechaie *their. like how they started

  • @Skullheaddrummer

  • LoL and people say nothing interesting happens during rowing!!

  • this is actually funnier the more you watch it! lol

  • What was it that the hook attached onto that was attached to the coxwain?

  • wow :) I didn`t expect the title to be realistic ;p

  • LOL!

  • haha nice, thats in amsterdam

  • if only that had been the German Olympic 8, she would have gotten slung to the river bank.

  • hahaha alleen nereus is zo stom op de bosbaan

  • wow that's a stupid way to line up a start, i'm surprised things like that don't happen more often

  • LOL thats on the bosbaan, where I've rowed numerous times! Take a look @ my videos if you like rowing, they're in my channel! :)

  • my cox only launches one thing, semen

  • this made me laugh and cringe at the same time.

  • Yep its bosbaan Amsterdam!

  • definitely bosbaan, they're speaking dutch as well..

  • Is this at the South Niagara Rowing Club in Welland? Looks familiar

  • no, it's the Bosbaan in Amsterdam, The Netherlands.

  • I knew I recognised it! We used to go there every Easter for camp!

  • @Billster8724 do you row for a welland high school?

  • @Billster8724 do you row for a welland highschool?

  • im glad that my races have people laying on a platform holding the stern

    GO RCRC!!!

  • here too, but this was a competition match over 500m and not a 2k. Additionlly these wooden C4's arent made for 2k's anyways :D

  • ive never even seen this kind of mechanism! Seems like an opitunity for sabotage!! How hilarious though!

  • same epiclulz my races r like purplehooters,

    GO LGRC!!!

  • fucking class

  • Aw man!! Thats crazy hahahaha

  • hahahah they deserve that

  • HAHAHA

  • Ownedddddddddddddddddd

  • wow

  • From what I can see...the stern line that some coxswains will hold onto for alignment got caught on the steering column when she released it at the start. That then pulled the steering rope out of its pulley system from in front of her and it pulled her out like a bungee cord looped around her midsection. Very funny.

  • @austinwork hahahah funny analysis dude :D

  • @austinwork yeah way to kill something funny by technically analysing it.

  • i think she was hooked on too something to keep the boat from moving from the line on the start, every other cox took it off just before, she forgot, lol

  • She also threw it away but it hooked into the steering line

  • oh shit! that sux

  • how the hell did that happen, that was hilarious.

  • why are the bows on those boats so big

  • tub fours - vintage racing boats

  • they're a more traditional type of boat, raced in Europe.

  • lmfao!

  • hahahahaha lol

    rofl so funny

  • wow! poor cox!

  • GAYY you cant loose the cox or you are disqualified! haha and that would suck soooo bad

  • im so glad my races all have stake boats.

  • Stake Boats for the win!

  • im so glad my races all have stake boats.

  • that was the funniest thing EVER

  • lmao wow must suck for the cox

  • ahahaahahahah

    OWNEEDDDDD

  • oh my god...

  • holy shit ^^

  • AHAHAHA

ive never had that problem, they dont use toggles any more.

  • hahaha

  • hahahaaaaaha ZU geil XD

  • The start ripped the whole stearing off. It sucks that you can't finish a race without a coxain.

  • damn

    they got owned

    stupid starts

  • lol yeah usually in regattas they dont have those string things but it gets caught on her lifejacket yeah

  • I know nothing about rowing, but am i right in thinking that the cox lets go of the rope, then the rope gets flicked forwards again by the oar of the other boat, then gets caught in the cox's clothing somehow? If so, AMAZING!

Also, full marks to the guy you hear laughing two seconds after she gets pulled out, rather than showing any kind of concern.

  • I think the string got stuck on the steering, and then ripped if off at the stern, which made the wires that she steers with come off and so therfore the wire was accross her front, the steering wire, then, she got ripped out, confusing, huh?

  • He/She got Owned!!

  • hahaha, what an idiot! now he'll never get laid !

  • OMG!!!!!!!!!

How dumb do you have to be to not see that thing coming at you?!

  • If you look at the theories written earlier you will understand.

  • If I was in one of the other crews there is no way I could have continued racing. I would have been pissing myself!! Great stuff there. Isn't life brilliant!

  • I have seen it with my own eyes. It is not a setup.

  • lol, like a cartoon! "omg, whats going aaaAAAAHHHNNN!"

  • rofl dumb cox lol

  • what a retard when the buzzer goes you let go lol:>

  • She did leave go. Watch again just focusing on that boat, it got caught

  • oh your right it got caught on the number, but its still funny

  • hahahahahahahahahahahahahaha brilliant..plop into the water was hilarious

  • ooo dat is best wel sneu ..

  • That is the funniest thing I have seen in days....look at her! its crazy!

  • Wow. How embarrassing for her.

  • I have to see that twice before believing it! wakaka

  • haha no matter what happened it was funny and i am a coxswain for my highschool... i would laugh at myself

  • yer, and dude trying to get out of the boat before it happens? id say taking a rope to the waste and being yanked back at that speed would probably hurt quite a bit, wouldnt u think? so as soon as she sees wats happening, do u think shes just gonna sit there? oh shit no shes gonna try and cut herself in two. yeh thats logical.

  • Not a setup - the problem is that the bungline (what the cox was holding) must have some sort of handle attached to it. This got caught in the rudder, ripping it off (you can see this if you watch closely) the rudder wire then came away from the boat, catching the cox round the waist and dragging him/her out of the boat. Thats my theory anyway...

  • Dont think it was a set-up. If you watch carefully you can see that the bungline (what the cox holds on to, presumably with some sort of handle on it) gets caught around the rudder. The rudder rips off the back of the boat (you can see it dangling there) and the rudder string comes away from the boat, catching the cox around the waist and dragging him/her out of the boat. That's my theory anyway

  • clearly a set-up = she starts getting out of her seat before she gets pulled up. deliberate stunt of which she was a part

  • i agree with ur theory

  • same here - that's certainly what it looks like.

  • Looks like the cox was set up, normally you hold onto the wire and let go as soon as your boat moves. It shouldn't have been attached to anything else... Funny, though.

  • rofl

  • LOLOLOLOLOL WHAT THE FUCK MAN LOL
