I grew up with Buzz in Streetsville and is one person I really miss. Before Moxy and Sherman and Peabody he was the only band at the Club Bluenote and was the best of the blues guys. Miss you Buzz......Darrell
I love Moxy..I love this album, this song. But I love even more the guitar on this album. It is actually Tommy Bolin, and in the leads you can hear the smooth flow of his playing so prominent on his solo albums. It really makes this album one of my all time favourites.

i saw them in corpus christi with acdc and another band i cant remember maybe it was legs diamond, any way it was the first time I saw acdc and i remember i went and bought let there be rock the next day because they blew me away with there preformance,of course i already was a big moxy fan
First Concert I went to back in 1985 in San Antonio Tx at the Sucken Gardens. I was High like a Mother Fucker at the age of 15 it was the greatest thing ever. Golden Earring opened up along with Triple X. Sat back in the back with a bunch of bikers puff puff pass pass lol
A message from all the teens in the 70's who bought a shitty guitar and only knew 3-string power chords and played along to Moxy, thinking and dreaming of being on stage and snagging
@JustSomeGuyOk yea i used to play this in the 70's I couldn't tell you how as i play bye ear they didn't have tab or sheet music for rock in those day's just had to pick up the needle a million times
Earl johnson and I are good friends.. I was his first guitar student. I am now considered his apprentice! so check out my profile once i've uploaded some music. In fact, I've played that guitar he has at 3:50 several times.
@ScooterMcBean Nope, canadians are irresponsible parasites without conscience sitting back and letting America carry the load yet prospering completely from it. America should boycott anything canadian since canadians hold us in contempt. Let's see how cocky canadians are when they lose the American market of 300 million people buying products from canada's 33 million. I will vote for any politician who cuts all ties with canada. Complete disgust and lack of respect for canadians.
I grew up in Cochrane Ontario like most teens here we grew up with out dads rockin out to Out Of The Darkness,Ridin' High, Moonrider. 24 years later i had the opportunity to assist in seting up the equipment, this intitled a backstage pass, while backstage i had my pass signed and a signed cd and to top it all off i had the chance to meet the band for the first time after listening for so many years. For me this was a dream come true.

the black albumn is fuckin great,I saw them in 1977,memorial collisumn corpus christi texas,i cant remember who was also on the bill, mabe it was angel or legs diamond
Awsome song, I sat on the stage at Randys Rodeo, a club in San Antonio and saw Moxy around 1976. God I miss those days. My new band is gonna do this song for sure!
it's got that Budgie feel don't it? Cripes fire up the marshall amp!! I can't believe i just discovered these guys. it's a journey man. I'll keep an eye out for their vinyl at the flea markets.
SA is still the bomb for concerts. I live in Austin and I am thankful SA is on an hour down the road. I have seen DIO, Maiden, Motley, Ratt and Michael Schenker within the last year.
@edwardsre Amen brother , I live south Texas in McAllen Tx. Raised in San ANtone all my life and down here in McAllen they dont know any san antones favortites>
Saw em several times in Austin & SA. Last time was at the Sunken Gardens a few years ago. Still looking for a concert T-Shirt , from that show with the Texas Flag on it.
When did they play in SA???? OH, I dunno, since 74 and since. About 74/75, Boston opened before they were anything, then Moxy, then Black Sabbath. Row two, on the floor, in the Hemisfair Arena.
I had the first two Moxy records back in the 70's. One of Canada's best hard rock bands ever and certainly one of my favourites. Years ago I was eating late night in a Denny's Restaurant and Buzz Shearman was sitting across from me. This was after he'd left the band. It was one of the first times being in the prescence of a celebrity. I went home and cranked up 'Moon Rider' (which is my favourite Moxy song).
Congrats on Buddy's retirement!!!! Just heard. While you guys were playin at Pops in St. Louis, he took the time to shake my hand during this song!! That was very kool!! Excellent show too!

Your list names some great ones. UFO, Triumph and AC/DC stand out in my mind, especially Moxy and AC/DC (their first US gig) playing at the Armadillo for $3.50! VERY good times.
Moxy played the states before 1977. I saw them open for Black Sabbath in October 1976.
