yogesh , u have done a wonderful job by posting this. inspite of working in kerala 4 almost20 years i have not seen so many veriteis of thyyams. it was a real feast 4 our eyes. regarding lungi verses jeans - it was a laughter therapy 4 us. good work. keep it up.
Thanks for posting this. Theyyam is performed in my mothers community in North Malabar. I think this particular dance is to induce the spirit of the monkey-king Bali into the body of the medium. Either that or its Muchilodu Devi's assistant, Bhoothan.
