I can play amazing grace on my mandolin... But never as good as Mr. Ricky Scaggs...so simple, yet so amazing.. The Lord has truly gifted this man...

A mandolin and fiddle- violin is tuned the same, and the same chords, double stops. the songs are played the same on each other. Just on fiddle you use a bow. Mandolin you use a pick.

Lordy the memories! Sitting around the squadbay on weekends at Camp Lejeune USMC. Us fellas from Georgia, Arkansas, Texas etc. Be like a whole improptu orchestra some days.
