Thank heavens for the Pirate Radio Ships dotted around the UK coastline in the 60s or this wonderful song would never have been heard at all. I remember the Pirates with the greatest affection and i always will. :-)
His voice is very high. But I LOVE THIS SONG SOOO MUCH! THE BEE GEES AND THE SIXTIES ARE SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO AWESOME. I WISH I WERE ALIVE THEN SO BADLY!
this guy would have been kicked off "american idol" first round .... hell .... maybe off the grade school choirboy tryouts ...... SUX ..... VERY, VERY BAD ... VERY, VERY BAD
fantastic memories, i heard it on the radio today and missed who the artist was, so googled "see him go on his way, oh they dont know...." and found it. I reckon i havent heard it since when it was out 1967, what great background vocals by the Bee Gees (well you wouldn't expect any less from them) thanks for posting
Top track ilsy, thanks for the inclusion of this offshore radio classic. We had not heard the story of the song or an interview. Though the Bee Gees are the tops, here is a rare cover also including their voices that beats their original recording
Hi Isly, It's a very talented singer. I love this version too. I never hear this singer before and I love it very much. Thanks for sharing this one Isly.
i dunno, i like the bee gees version more. its got a special vibe to it that this doesn't have. its still a good cover though, i love the interview at the end :D
What a superb piece of footage of one of Australia's stars of the 1960's being interviewed. Is fascinating to hear more about the song, which is another gem written by the Bee Gees.
Hi Ilsy, thanks for uploading his very clear oldy. I love the Bee Gees covertracks from the sixties, special those from Australia, which are still very rare. Great songs !

Johnny Young had the hugely successful show here, called Young Talent Time. It was an "Idol"show of its time, and ran from 1971 -1989. Like a Beatle, Johnny pop royalty here in oz.

Could it be any more obvious that those back-up vocals are Gibb voices? :-P
