I've got a gen 1 cayman s also, was wondering if you did any of the engine mods they talk about on the forums before tracking the car (motorsport AOS, deep sump, etc) and if you didnt if you've had any engine issues

The exhaust sounds decent, especially at initial throttle liftoff. Judging by the video, could it be that it has a droning sound at mid rpm as so many other aftermarket exhaust for the 987?

Great video. I do not understand why they are wearing crash helmets either as they look as if they are driving through Norwich on a Sunday afternoon. I find the co pilot the most amusing as he is passing out all of the instructions. Maybe he is the Stig in disguise.Nice relaxing drive boys but great sounding car. Do it again in the wet maybe you will catch the Clio. Cheers

Wow, the first constructive comment, thank-you!! Yes, I have PASM, and for me a worthwhile option for sure. A smooth ride on normal, and track-harsh on sport mode.

Rode in Caymen S for 14 hours. You will need PSS9 coils and you are all set. the car handles so beautifully!

As someone who has not only raced Porsches' but also built and repaired them for over 15 years I can say, the Cayman is a Boxster coupe and both IMO are better cars than the 911. Porsche keeps the HP output under the 911 in both because they are faster with the same HP, in fact faster with slightly less HP.

Good Video! I have been thinking about buying a Cayman for a while now. I think the Engine sounds great, the handling must be a bit ropey though, those S bends are taken very slowly and may I add that on many of the exits you were in the wrong gear! On the straight, was that a Clio that I could see in front? anyway, thanks for putting this on YouTube it is very interesting. Im off now to buy a Clio.

I'm with Rowney there. How's a Clio holdin' off the Cayman?! Must'a been a casual ride. Yes, too high a gear on some corners, I thought. But...whatever's comfy on a Sat. afternoon. Could have been pushed more I thought, but...sounds great!
