I Went to Arm 05, at the dunkin dounut center, the hell in a cell cage was so small that orton held onto the top of it while he was on the top rope to balance him self
Can I ask why and if they made the event, what would they call it? The reason WWE doesn't do this is because they want to keep their main event superstars. What the WWE REALLY needs is a PPV where every main event match is a Ladder Match and not TLC.
The name DOES make sense. And it's here to stay as WWE's "end of the year PPV" They need a name that fits the end of the year's theme. Whether it be FINAL Resolution , End Of Days, or Armageddon(like they have now) I know, your gonna say "But Armageddon is in the middle east" well it doesn't matter. It's meaning as "The final place/battle between good and evil still makes sense for the name to stay.
Supposedly is going to take place. Gotta remember a bunch of drunk Jews wrote half the mess in that book.
All in all, it's retarded and dumb for a PPV to be named after a place. That would be like "On June 20th 2009 WWE Presents: Montreal!" see? no real effect. It just shows ignorance on people's part to realize the true meaning of the word.
It still doesn't make sense for the year 2009, is all I am trying to say. Everyone was all freaking thinking the world was going to end in the year 2000, and that's why this PPV was invented. The fact the world obviously isn't over, makes this PPV Name Irrelevant.
Okay, but the name still has a meaning of "final" in it. IT doesn't matter whehter the WWF, and Vince made that name to hype up the whole Armageddon histeria in 99, the name just fits. If they DO replace Armageddon, I would like for them to have "End OF Days" or something that signifies "final" until then, I have no problem with Armageddon whatsoever. The name itself is just awesome O_O.
Only PPV that's being phased out this year is "Unforgiven" The event will now be called "Breaking Point" Anyway, just like TNA has "Final Resolution" for their end of the year PPV, WWE has "Armageddon" signifying the end of the year. Again, it's a perfect name for the end of the year, and it matches.
Initially that was used as their Jan PPV. At the beginning of each year, most people make Resolutions to try and meet with the new year. That's all that means.
Armageddon, does not mean The End. Armageddon is a place. Like New York, LA, Chicago, etc. It's a place. That's why I think it's stupid to keep using it.
Armageddon is an event a place if you will in the WWE where good and evil do battle for the last time. It makes perfect sense. You can not argue that at all since you just said "Armageddon is a place" Final Resolution yes TNA used it for January for New Year's Resolutions, but the word "Final" made them change it. "Genesis" is the perfect start of the year PPV since it basically means "the beginning". It was a perfect name for after Bound For Glory, but Turning Point is also a good one. Listen.
edge shud come bak at royal rumble nd win it then go on 2 wm 26 n win the world heavyweight championship or in the undertaker vs batista world championship match vicki gurreoreo comes out n maks edge part of the match aftr both of them r beat up n edge wins
Armageddon is a PPV that isn't really a need, but I do believe it should stay just for that after effect of Survivor Series. That's like taking out Backlash after WrestleMania. Perfect name for the PPV after WM. So is Armageddon after Survivor Series. Their trying to survive the end. I know I'm going to deep in PPV name meanings but I just wanted to point it out that Armageddon CAN and HAS been an important PPV event in the past.
No, Armageddon is a PPV that's gonna last most likely forever. Armageddon means "The end" so it's the perfect name to have for the last PPV of the year. The only one their replacing this year is Unforgiven. Plus, Armageddon does a good job of ending some rivalries and long feuds(like the InVasion in 2001, SmackDown! vs. RAW) you know, the remnants from the feud will all be finished that year.
Actually "Armageddon" is typically linked to the end in a Biblical sense. However, "Armageddon is actually the English word for a Place in the Middle East, where many religions believe "The Final Battle" will take place. So the word Armageddon is actually a reference to a valley in the Middle East.(The Moder-Day Israel I do believe)
I know that, but Armageddon's meaning still means the end no matter how much you want to twist that around. I'm sorry dude, but it'd be a mistake for WWE to take out Armageddon all together. "The final battle will take place" can reference to anything. Again, it's meaning is used to have the end of everything. Just look at Armageddon 2000, 2001(called Vengeance, but it was an appropriate replacement that year since 9/11 and all the Armageddon histeria) And every other one so on. Besides, the

I find it hard to believe the wrestler on the Armageddon poster for 2005 is Batista. It looks more like Booker T/King Booker.

Apparently not. The WWE from 97-04 was like that. But before and after, they have always asked everyone to tone it down.

Yes, Armageddon, is the place where the FINAL BATTLE between Good and Evil will take place. Thus why it makes sense in the first place.
