I don't know how long you people have been alive but since the early 70's they've been telling parents not to give aspirin to children who have flu (due to reyes syndrome).

Being in the health care field I would suggest washing your hands before any type of personal grooming. Friction is key when washing hands! At least 30 sec with warm soapy water. Visit a health food store prior to and after a doctors visit. There are many herbs that help with flu/colds.
