I heard differently to how the pyramids were built. I heard that "aliens" had build them to align with the stars, perfectly. Amazing how with no technology they manage to do it. I believe humans built it, but when you look at the alignment of the stars and how they perfectly bind from each hole, and the holes are very small. There's a documentary I watched on it. Seemed as believable as this.

Egyptians didn't drag the blocks up ramps. They weighed too much and it would take too long to drag each block.
I saw another documentary that said Egyptians were smart enough to build cranes which sat inside the pyramid walls and allowed each block to be hoisted with a little less man-power than dragging them. As the pyramid got taller, the cranes were positioned higher until construction was completed.

Has anyone viewed anything that looks like the Egyptians building a pyramid or any other structure painted or sculpted on the walls? It would seem to me that an achievement of this magnitude would be painted on every edifice they ever accomplished. I think the people of the time possesed a great understanding of water pressure aswell.I think they used this technic combined with sand to pressure cut these stones aswell. .With a high enough water sphere or catch basin it is possible to achieve a passive pressure system without the use of any pumps or electrical devices.I have never visited the sight so my opinion is just pure speculation just like everyone else who claims to know how this object was built.

Egyptians didn't drag the blocks up ramps. They weighed too much and it would take too long to drag each block.
I saw another documentary that said Egyptians were smart enough to build cranes which sat inside the pyramid walls and allowed each block to be hoisted with a little less man-power than dragging them. As the pyramid got taller, the cranes were positioned higher until construction was completed.
Imagine if they had one last block to put at the top....would they drag it up sharp turns?

@njfaq2 of coures it would benifit us. the pyramids and the temple of the sphinx have blocks weighing 200 tons. the idea that they were put in place by simple pullies and ramps seems amazing. if it is true then knowing exactly how it was done is one of the most interesting and educational episoides in all history. if it was done with some sort of lost ancient technology, or even aliens, then we definiatly need to know. this is the history of mankind we are talking about, not some trivial matter.

@njfaq2 knowing how these pyramids were built today would greatly benefit our architectural understanding because we could not even come close to duplicating such an impossible feat today. how to know and the reason to pursue this answer is simply for sake of knowledge and it would be worth knowing.

@njfaq2 I would have to disagree with "if found would never benifit us anyways". Perhaps the answers would give us all what we seem to be looking for...the truth. Not just who and why thet were built but you have to think outside the box a little. We can't find 10 people who get along to work at a McDonalds and they had thousands that all worked as a unit? If they found steel or machines that could do this job(Sears Tower or Pyramids) there would be no mystery.

I think the people of the time possesed a great understanding of water pressure aswell.I think they used this technic combined with sand to pressure cut these stones aswell. .With a high enough water sphere or catch basin it is possible to achieve a passive pressure system without the use of any pumps or electrical devices.I have never visited the sight so my opinion is just pure speculation just like everyone else who claims to know how this object was built.

In my opinion the pyramids were built by flooding the sight with water and floating these enourmous blocks into place with barges.It would be interesting to find out if any ancient dams exsisted along the nile at that time.I think with the correct layout of dams and a well designed lock system this could have been done quite easily.My therory is no more far fetched then a great ramp or even aliens building it.This could also explain water erosion found at the on The Spinx itself.

@davesalter1 right, i completely forgot about the fossils from the great unknown war. what about wind? you don't think that the wind hasn't smoothed the pyramids a bit? over hundreds of years those blocks wear. They could probably date the pyramids by taking the average wind the pyramids are exposed to and the wear the stones recieve per 100 years. They can then date them back to a time when the edges are sharper. No way in hell is that going to millions of years. it would be smoother.

Have you heard people say that they made a gaint ramp to get the stones up in the air to build the pyramids well that would take a long time just to keep building the ramp to the right level.
i think that once they built 1 layer they formed and shaped the rocks for the 2 layer on the first layer doing this would have no need for a ramp!

we look at it as if it was built the "modern" way... Shape sand into a pyramid. pour water on it and sand holds form like concrete. Put a stone at the apex and the four corners than build up. Than drop the stone through the middle and the sand flows out like water,(why all pyramids have "air ducts") so the sand can shoot out. Than you have a hollowed out pyramid and the stones all fall perfectly onto each other thx to gravity...Eddie Griffins theory. makes sense

Watch ancient aliens oh history channel the 2010 version literally every historian believed in ancient aliens. Pyramid of the Sun and the Great pyramid have the EXACT SAME perimeter. The great pyramid wasn't build wasn't built in 23 years that's 1 block every 45 seconds and each block weighed average 2.5 tons and the slope to drag the block was miles long. Even today architects would have trouble building the great pyramid its so perfect.

Problems:
1. No evidence of any ramps at all and the ramps would have to be totally enormous to be able to pull up those stones at a manageable angle.
2. Eqyptians drew pictures on all tombs of their kings but there are none found on the Pyramids. why?
3. The smaller pyramids built later show a marked decrease in engineering ability and have all fallen apart. why?
Answer: The Egyptians did not build the Pyramids. Evidence shows they are much older than the Reign of Khafre.

There is no way that people made the pyramids. from seen from space the pyramids are only 1/4 an inch of from being geometrically perfect. We couldn't recreate how we think they built the pyramids and made them that perfect, there is no way. Either we had some help from an outside being or we had way more advanced technology that has been lost.
