Your bow weight and broadhead selection are excellent. Doubt the result would have been different with even 60# and a two blade, although one never knows when you hit bone. I feel 45# and the Woodsman is a great choice for deer. An inch or two either way and you'd have a perfect kill.

no, unfortunately not, but after looking at the tape numerous times and inspecting the shaft, we think that he will survive. the broadhead did not even enter the chest cavity. it got hung up in bone
first of all sorry about the delay, i'm shooting a 45# bear super grizzly, axis 500 arrows with 150 gr. woodsmen. I know that my poundage is not helping, but i too have seen fast compounds hang-up in the shoulder. bottom line....got to get a little further behind that area to get into the boiler room

with that set up you should use a heavier 2 blade,
you should try the zwicky no mercey broad head, you can easily get it to 170g, and it sharpens real quik!
also flies great! just a thought
