FYI there is a story behind this video. This is how it goes:

Humanity has left earth for unknown reasons (probably pollution or meteor). The new planet they inhabited is under the threat of an approaching ice age (see billboard 2:43). The missiles at the beginning were to stop the creeping glaciers. 3 pilots launch to space from a planet (not earth) to dock up to a Cryo Module (at 2:45, you can see a row of frozen humans). They warp to planet earth but lose the Cryo Module and the humans in it.

They can't get past something they did or something their lover did in order for things to be the way they once had been. Least that's the simple way of putting it. The missiles in the beginning were slow down the growing glacier that's about to eat up the city. From the orbital view you can see that there is a small circle on the planet that is not covered in ice. That is their city I presume.

The astronauts were sent to earth which is already desolate for some reason. Maybe they were trying to re inhabit earth. Hence the cryo module..

@MikesOblvionPlane They where there before the ice age of that planet. That's why the billboards are saying "be prepared, the ice age is coming". Cryo module contains the frozen humans. Cryo is short for cryogenics. It's science fiction. So far only sperm can be frozen.

It is not the same as the hyperspace drive, which is a faster-than-light travel (warp drive). The module that they were docking to was the cryo module, the hyperspace drive is probably on their own ship.
