@thebackrow678 Yes, unfortunately most trance produced nowadays lack the soul these classics possess. Still some decent tunes popping up every now and then, but nothing like in the golden era. Haven't really thought about that event, but maybe I'll go if it fits with exams etc, looks sweet anyway:)

@oiskela : you are completely right there matey, most music today is the same. I think the rudimentary equipment that the producers back then were equipped with added to the soulful effect. tell you what mate, when i was in ibiza back in june, was lucky to have my ipod, whenever the dj's played david guetta in the clubs, would whack on some trance and dance to that instead. good luck with your exams!

@AWDracer Thanks for feedback:) To take the ast part first; Solarcoaster could have been placed even higher, but I still think their rank is ok. Regarding remix/original I tend to agree, in most cases one should include the original (Three 'N one rmx + PVD Love mix are good exceptions.) That's why I e.g. didn't use the Michael Woods remix of Eugina. However, I first discovered Saltwater through the DC remix, and ever since, that has been like the original to me=) ....

@jlvsoundengineering Both great tunes but:

*Forbidden Paradise doesn't really contain that ibiza-chillout feeling, it's slightly too energetic. Additionally I think it's a little "simple" in the sense that it lacks some dynamics.

*Denial, made by Airbase and not Tiesto btw, is beautiful, and certainly a good candidate. However imo it doesn't fully reach up to the classics featured here; along with a lot of more recent vocal-tunes it's a little too "standard" with excessive use of 4x4 beat.

Good choices although you seemed to miss out tiesto's barbers adagio for strings and I would have put synasthesia by the thrillseekers in there and for the Ibiza feeling I would definately put agelli and nelson EL NINO !
