When you were told that your sins were forgiven because Jesus redeemed you, he ransomed you from the penalty of death, you felt relieved. Jesus' supposed statement, "I am", was documented on paper in Greek. Yahweh Almighty's Statement in Exodus 3 was in Hebrew. The two languages are not only far too different from each others, but the two statements are also not the same.

Some scholars have said it was the names of the Pharisees who had laid with the woman that He wrote. That makes a lot of sense, but that's speculation of course and you're absolutely right, the Bible doesn't say and we really don't know.

Who's more arrogant, God who speaks the truth or atheists who think they know everything but still stuggle to find answers? I guess people would rather break a leg in finding meaning rather than seeking absolute truth in it's simplicity from God through Jesus. Peace.

When the Second Temple was rebuilt by Herod, it wasn't all stone, it was much larger and might have had actual dirt.

I don't have to confess my sins to a priest either because i can come before God in prayer. I don't have to worry about purgatory because i am saved by God's grace. I don't have to pay my way into heaven Jesus payed the price for me. Now you may not believe some of these doctrines in the catholic church but these religious practices are at the foundation of roman Catholicism. According to Jesus' own words the answer is no. Power hungry men took the scripture about Peter/rock and twisted it into a monarchy. Put that scripture (Mt 16:13) into context and you'll see that Jesus was speaking about Peter's recognition of him as the Christ, Son of God. "On THIS rock I will build my church."
The pope is NOTHING like Jesus nor Peter.
Jesus had no home, no fine clothes, and told people to turn away from idols. He chastised those with fancy robes & repetitious prayers.

Under the law she was destined to Die, but Jesus came and covered her with grace and show the people that they too had sins and that he had come not to condemn but to bring them salvation.
In the Old Testament people paid for their own sins. But Jesus came so that he could pay the full price of our sins so that we may have LIFE and a direct link to God.

Deuteronomy 24:16 everyone shall be put to death for his own sin.
Exodus 23:7 Keep far from a false charge, and do not kill the innocent or the righteous, for I will not acquit the guilty.
When Jesus died unexpectedly, his followers invented a reason for his death. That he had died for mankind's sins. Of course no one can verify that their sins have been forgiven.

And YES i can say that my sins have been forgiven, I know 100% that I am forgiven, I can feel a weight lifted from me and the self condemnation is gone. @sorsaria People have a natural inclination to confess their crimes in order to try and relieve their guilt. That's why so many criminals confess to the police. When you were told that your sins were forgiven because Jesus redeemed you, he ransomed you from the penalty of death, you felt relieved. You felt good because now you didn't have to feel guilty about your sins. But it's all an illusion, a deception, a delusion. Jesus could not die for your sins.

If you're a sinner, you are doomed, condemned, to death for your sins by God. But you cannot be ransomed from the death penalty according to the Hebrew Scriptures. Jesus could not die for your sins. Scripture cannot be broken.

This is not true you have taken this scripture out of context , you have to read the whole chapter to understand what is being said here. This chapter is about making vain vows to God. When a person would vow to be deicated to the Lord that persons intern brings a curse on their own head. To be a living sacrifice to God is to live a life of flawlessness because thats what God required of all sacrafices. your vow would be your death sentence with the first sin you commited.

Jesus preached love and grace you think Love is a waste? Jesus is not a myth, the salvation of Jesus Christ, his death and ressurection. Has more power 2000 years later than any truth you possess. If you dismiss Jesus as a myth then you dismiss the testimony of millions world wide. There is more historical evidence that Jesus is the messiah than Shakespeare and Socrates combined you should dismiss them as well.

But Jesus is very dfferent. If Jesus was resurrected it would be the greatest story in the history of the world, IF IT WERE TRUE. But the evidence for his resurrection is not competent and compelling.

I was not insulting mmminmin02 as a christian we shouldn't speak about our unsaved brothers and sisters in such a way. Pointing your finger at all the imperfect people is like pointing the finger at yourself. Because christians are sinners saved by grace. Jesus ate and drank with the prostitutes, murders, and tax collectors. Since i am a follower of Christ my brothers and sisters in the Lord, and the Words of God hold me accountable in my daily shortcomings and hold me accountable to walk according to the will of God and not my own will. I was not trying to insult mmminmin02 but let the words of the Lord instruct. You have to understand ebaltrace giving someone Truth is one of the greatest ways to love them, though it may be hard to swallow..i have been there but i am better for it.

Jesus' supposed statement, "I am", was documented on paper in Greek. Yahweh Almighty's Statement in Exodus 3 was in Hebrew. The two languages are not only far too different from each others, but the two statements are also not the same.
"I am" is not the same as "I am What I am".

@FUS10N1 You are incorrect. The HIGH majority of ALL the people used the Septuagint back then. In Exodus three the "I am" statement is exactly the same as what Jesus said, He WAS literally saying He was Yahweh.

@FUS10N1 Im thinking he was claiming to be Elohim, because he said before Abraham was "I Am" He was claiming to be the one that said, and God said let us make man in our image. he claimed to be the very word of god. the word Elohim is plural can mean more that one person, like a the word family. The Family of God said let us make man in our image.

many actors have played Jesus. I think I would describe Henry Ian Cusick's protrayal as very casual, in terms of his posture and behaviour. he speaks well as Jesus though. thats a good point on his part.

IIgreen1962, it wasn't recorded what Jesus wrote on the ground...so I don't think we'll know until we meet Him. I'm going to ask Him though. Maybe He wrote "love". Maybe He wrote "forgive". Maybe he drew two lines and made a "cross". Or maybe it wasn't anything important. I think it was, but when I meet Jesus I'm sure He will tell me. God Bless.

Some scholars have said it was the names of the Pharisees who had laid with the woman that He wrote. That makes a lot of sense, but that's speculation of course and you're absolutely right, the Bible doesn't say and we really don't know.

If jesus would have came in this exact time. the whole world would act the same or worse, beacuse everytime you tell some one to talk to GOD , ask him for forgiveness, read the world, either they are christians,jehovah witness,mormons,etc they will get offended insult you and no one gets no where,,,People we need to confess our sins, meditate on the scriptures,convert and be ready to recive the gifts of the holy spirit to continute the work here on earth..

I´m glad to see this gospel made into a film. This gospel shows that Jesus talks about himself as God self. The jews tried to kill him a couple of times because they said he talked about himself as God.
Notice how many times Jesus says in the movie: "I am" - the same name God used before Moses by the burning tree.

Jesus didnt attack the JEWS. Jesus is a Jew. Jesus warned the Pharisees that pretend to be Jews in the synagogues.
Jesus said: [I will make those who are of the synagogue of Satan, who claim to be Jews though they are not, but are liars—I will make them come and fall down at your feet and acknowledge that I have loved you] Revelation 3:9 It means there were fake and native Jews. The word Pharisees comes from the word Pharis which means Persia = Iran. They named them Pharisees because their origin is from Pharis = Persia = Iran. Those Iranians came to Israel from Persia in 500 AD and conquer it. And this is exactly what the Athiests are doing with God today. I see nothing different in the way those people thought of Jesus, then I do with the Athiests hating on Thiests. The Athiests are the Pharasees of today, calling us Deluted and following a fairyrale. Saying that Christianity is dangerous. Everything that Jesus stood for just like then is being questioned now. I know Jesus is rooting for his people to follow in his footsteps.

Read Jeremiah 17:13. They had just rejected the Fountain of Living water. In order to understand Jn 7-9, you need to understand the feast of Tabernacles. Look into it at your convenience.
