The ratio to participants is excellent. The age range is excellent. The choise of location in excellent. Very well done. I don't know why non participants didn't seem surprised.

I think it was a great way to promote Library Week. Great Job for all those who organized it and showed up! I am sure people that went through the crowd realized what was going on as there was a sign to clue them in. It is the shock factor that gets them. Normally people do not stand/sit still in the middle of the mall reading a book, so that right there tells ya something is going on.
This concept is a little too subtle for the Holyoke Mall. I doubt if any of the people cutting through realized anything was happening. Still nice effort though
