  • To protect our future I suggest we people who love the old life gather around and build our own city. We will take care of the future before the future take care of us.

  • so much for eco friendly!

  • @mijan50 Yes, but could you imagine how much energy and power consuming this would be?

  • why to stop them this is so brilliant and inovative......people u want simplicity these people are doing it so....we are all 24/7 on our computers so cut d crap..

  • technology is only going to enhance, there is no way to prevent it. all you people saying negative comments about this need to get your heads out the clouds and get your minds in 2012 !

  • I HATE THAT YOU ARE USING THIS AS AN ANTI OBAMA ADVERTISING PLATFORM...

  • this looks amazing!

  • I like the soundtrack!

  • wowwwwww!!

  • ...and this just in the following is now illegal except where appropiate: bats, any form of ball, spray paint, canes(by prescription only), steel toe shoes(except where appropiate) etc. etc. if you are caught with these on the public streets you will be fined.

  • what about poor people? can poor people afford days of glass?

  • Suddenly every part of your life CAN be hacked...

  • Before internet and mobile devices, we depend alot on papers! ---> Deforestation

Now we can expect a surge of demand on sand (salica), the main ingredient for making glasses!

  • @ataraxiaism TIME TO STOCK UP ON DIATOMS

  • Como si fuera un video futurista... afortunadamente esta tecnologia ya esta disponible, desafortunadamente requiere niveles adquisitivos especificos.!

  • and then they get sued by apple...

  • Thank you Capitalism and thank the American way!!!

  • Jennifer belongs back in the kitchen!

  • Many things are wow, but some of those things going to far. like communicate with eachother. I do agree with some people, we losing conversation in real life this way.

  • Cool story bro

  • This looks great but imagine the vandalism.

  • Where is this place?

  • A world of glass!!! Interesting...

  • חזק ביותר

  • they should make this based on lets say maybe if a isolated city was ever built on lets say mars or the moon, then there, not on earth where while i'm not an eco freak i think this'll go to far

  • .....and then everything broke...

  • 10% of the population can afford to live like the racially ambiguous family portrayed in this facade.

  • This has the feel of an apple commercial from the future...

  • how do u clean stuff like that otherwise this is EPIC

  • D: this is a nightmare!!!

  • @andibloo Lol,why?

  • @scottcpwalien Wisdom right there bro. It'll be expensive at first but by the time all the rich bastards have it, the price will drop so us normal can afford a whole lot of fancy glass.

  • I am blown away an look forward to the day that this is a reality. I understand that many of you watching this are probably of the sort that think you know everything which means there is no sense in trying to get you to see the benefits of this. However, consider this 15 years ago an Ipad was "unrealistic". This will certainly change the world and that change does not have to be bad. It appears this technology will improve convenience and efficiency which is never a bad thing.

  • you think commercials are bad now.. after this comes out there will be adds literally everywhere you look

  • @dillinger9999 no... but hardly anything does anyway

  • Corning: We believe that the world doesn't have enough GLASS!

  • the world is going to be destroyed like this. how much resources would it take to change all the devices with glass? how much resources would it take to power something like this? to build this type of future requires destruction and re building of infrastructures ... the world is already getting destroyed faster than ever with our current technological developments

  • It's no flying car but I guess i'll take it.

Just think of all the finger smudges!

  • and when the power goes out..........

  • At least people will wash their hands more often before touching the glass.

But I only don't get one thing what if Jennifer sprays water on the glass while washing up will it damage the glass?

  • can u imagine how expensive that would be? insanely expensive.

  • The sad moment when you realise this is only a commercial. :(

  • Too bad this future will never happen, with greedy corporations and government bleeding us dry. We will be a starving third world country barely surviving or possibly be rounded up for concentration camps. Good luck with the glass thing. And no this won't feed anyone, just Corning's pocket.

  • @Morozov80 What do you mean it will never happen? Bro, it's happening.

  • The glass doesn't play the major role in this video

  • 5:10 - just a kiss and no sex before sleep? Nooo.. thanks for life like that.. :(

  • I honestly kinda dont want this to happen..you'd be walking into it all the time! And all the old people would have no idea how the hell it worked. Ill stick to my tablet.

  • look ahead

  • For the people saying no body would be able to afford it, no one could afford computers when they first came out now everyone has a computer maybe even more than one. I have like 6

  • can this feed people?

  • I just invested in this stock so they better come through with this!!

  • Imagine the vandalism.

  • А где источники питания? Тот же лист бумаги по которому читают в конце ролика, откуда он берёт энергию?

  • my ipad feels clunky after seeing this video.

  • shut up and take my money!

  • i thought this Tribo tex thing was another cool thing, apperantly they claim to be able to repair damage with their lubricant. its like nano peices or something ruff on one side and smooth on the other makes it stick but also increase efficiency /KzDuRUMgRMA

  • please, someone stop them before becomes a reality. I want to draw and do arts and crafts with my children, not be involved in a screen 24/7. we are going too far.

  • @niggahobo

You can still do that... No one is making you buy the products. Or be involved with them 24/7 besides yourself. If you can't see the beauty in this then your eyes are closed.

  • 1) Greasy fingerprints everywhere.

    2) People don't like using the videophone abilities they have now, how is the future different?

    3) How does glass eliminate traffic?

    4) How are all those public touchscreens funded without obnoxious advertising?

    5) Why is everyone so happy? Is there some new glass-based narcotic?

    6) The giant, public display in the clothing store throws away Jennifer's privacy in exchange for... what, exactly?

  • i hate touchscreens, this is a literal depiction of my hell. I can barley imagine anything worse( and so realistic). I had a dream that will ferral ran the world, we all lived in a shopping mall and he laughed at us cause everything was designed to be difficult and annoying.

  • 1:56 , so corning managed to put cameras in the glass as well?

  • We gonna need a lot of Windex ;D

  • How much of this is ready to be marketed? I can't wait for my Grandmother to appear in my mirror and tell me "You're so not going out dressed like that!"

  • Invest in Corning today while share prices are low!

  • I guess I'll start investing in Windex

  • everywhere is AJAX and JavaScript :D

  • Not bad, but Back to the Future promised Hoverboards by 2015. Make it happen, people.

  • i heard that they are starting to make this

  • so much potential vandalism >:D

  • Are they trying to lower our intellegence by having technology do everything for us? Haha

  • Can't stop watching this I want Part 3!!!!!!!!!!!!

  • Minute 00:44 waste of water in the future?? I don't think so...

    Minuto

  • D: We already have this in 2022!!! Oh... I'm still trapped in 2012.. Right... Well forget that I said that =]

  • amazing

  • Was there a glass? I looked at the girls all the time...

  • Everything is chrome in the future...

  • Great it's all going to be like WALL-E. QUICK SOME ONE PUT A PLANT IN A SHOE AND PUT IT IN A REFRIGERATOR!!!!!!!!!

  • That couple kisses A LOT

  • Would that be A LOT of radiation?

  • so if this will be the real life, How would movies be like??

  • so in 2.56 everybory can see the interface of your mobile

  • if everything was free this could be possible right now

  • Sure does look like something Apple would make. Disney and Apple will rule the world!

  • SO yah thats all good but why in the morningh did the dad wake up ont the right side of the bed and go to bed that night on the left side.??

  • 95% of the people will not afford all this rubbish

  • @wujumasteryi well no one used to be able to afford computers, now everyone has them.

  • Welcome to Japan.

  • Great Job on this video.

    Who did the music?

  • i assume they are also embedding cameras everywhere too....

  • el futuro!!!!!!

  • i would want to see the school version...

  • This is how heaven looks like

  • Waa.. Why NO DOTA in the future? :(( T_T btw, this isnt possible. This age will be Robo Age not glass. :P

  • mucha loquera la de ese vidrio

  • I hope they invent face-mounted Sneezeguards before all this happens.

  • @nickyeager123

Made of flexible, anti-viral, touch sensitive display glass :P

  • So... go to 2 minutes 19 seconds into this video. The lady programs her car to participate in a video conference. REALLY? Isn't it bad enough we have millions of careless drivers texting while driving? Now we are going to have car crashes due to drivers trying to white board collaborate via a web-ex. /sighs

  • @davewalden probably has an auto-drive function or something like that

  • Goodbye..socializing...with each other.. But it looks cool nevertheless.

Would be awesome to find the right balance to using electronics and oldschool face2face time with you wife waking up, your children..

  • ehhh...I'm not looking forward to everyone being able to see what I'm doing on my phone, or having to clean up dirty finger prints off of everything in my house...

  • I do, I have an iPhone 4s

  • To be honest, this is all fantastic and look how far we've come from the early 1900s... but all the energy consumption involved in this is just unbelieveable. Imagine if you had a storm, a hurricane, or any other natural disaster. All that energy, money, time... all wasted. Again, this is beyond spectacular, but some things need to stay the same. This is all too much on our world, and think of the poor people that won't be able to afford this...

  • @rayzballinlol Then I guess the poor will just have to keep their iPhones.

  • @rayzballinlol I think it showed solar panels on the roof in the second video, if that changes anything...

  • it would suck if there was a power outage

  • Suddenly: laziness.

  • A car made of glass. Should make for some interesting collisions!

  • can I live in this world now please? :D

  • This looks sick, but expensive too. :/

  • I can't see this many people on earth and then having this. It's too many people on this planet and our resources will run out.

  • So the future is everything we own being connected to the internet. The problem it seems as if ISPs want to change that future with all the data caps.

  • I especially like how I need two hands, each with 5 fingers, to interact with this brave new world

  • Interesting at 2:25 how she turns around to back up. Wouldn't they have standard back-up cameras by then? Great vision of what could be though!

  • WINDEX STOCK = BUY BUY BUY!!!!!

  • This shouldn't be available in public places like bus stop, people could just troll and throw stones at the glass. Destroying something that costs thousands... And some of the features need to be toned down a little bit, we would have some serious privacy issues. But other than that, its really awesome.

  • @PimpinBoy777 In this world stones are gonna be a museum exhibit...

  • it is so cool but its a long process before we could get there

  • I don't like the clear phone cuz everybody can see what it doing.

  • great, Glass can save people from poverty and starvation. Still, this is a concept of non-recycleble things. 2 weeks after you equip your house with all those stuff, they gonna launch new devices and you gonna enter in the consumer cicle again and again

  • i want all of these!

  • "In a perfect world!"

  • everybodys going to be fat in the future if this really does cometrue

  • I'm gonna hate this. I hate the future.

  • Well I cried at this. Technology is becoming way too advanced. It's just scary at this point.

  • Wonderfull! I think it is Ubuntu at the beginning.

  • yea i love these future visions how everybody eat only vegetable, everybody have everything white inside house. now show us real future

  • totally magic !!!!!!!!!! :D

  • Best advertising video ever.

  • all changes a lot! amazing

  • I guess, this is only for 1%....

  • After watching this video.. Now my ipad looks old

  • I know heaven will be better, but i just want to live the far just to see how far human can get..

  • Amazing! Simply Amazing!

I can't wait to live in that world.

  • i know this isn't real but it makes you think how far we've come.....

  • THIS IS SO COOL I CANT NOT BELIVE ALL THIS WILL HSAPPEN

  • I just love the music. Totally enchanting

  • this is sooooooo awesome !!!! I <3 the future

  • I feel like an old person not accepting the changes. Its cool and all but i dont see myself walking up to the tv and touching it to access information. I still like losing the remote and painfully searching the house for it.

  • Technology aside, people already have trouble not smashing bus shelters and phones. So what about the people who aren't obsessive compulsive or the clumsy ppl? Not for them I suppose haha Imagine the challenge of just getting drunk

  • Interesting, so in the future we will usr even more energy and waste the water, good thing we will have all that glass to protect us.

  • @kgbock you have no idea what you are talking about

  • i cant wait to get to this level in technology! :) :0 cool! clear phones! nice car random lady! :)

OMG! look at that kool CLEAR book!

  • McFry, you are tuminated!

  • I think that this might be going way too far in the field of technology. Everything is a touch screen? What's the fun of that?

  • Poor germaphobes...

  • 2) Everybody is debating over increasing energy consumption and environmental stuff. These things will lead to further rise in energy consumption and the use of LED technigue won't change this (e.g. Jevons paradox). But who cares as long as you pay it.

    Looks really nice though!

  • Interesting and partly stunning innovations. But two things came to my mind when i watched this:

    1) Many of these new applications aren't only used in work life but also in private use and that's imho the point. Many people don't recognize how much time they are loosing when caring about the news, wheather, news, friends profiles on social networks, aso. They take less and less time for themselves instead of e.g. laying back and being happy. These new applications will increase this phenomenom.

  • Looks like it's time to buy stock in Windex...

  • Unnecessary

  • This is 99.67% likely to occur.

  • Depressive...I don't know why but it make me sad...It's too gray..

  • Is that the dude from the American Pie movies?

  • 1:43, let's say his mom was born in 1990...

  • huh so i want to see how the poor ppl will live or is poor going to change to......not! the future will change but not us

  • Awesome!!

  • Were Wasting Electricity & They Want all This ? So Much Power Has To be Used For This "Glass World"

  • I'm kinda skeptical, but we can always dream!

  • So people in the future are gonna be barely distinguishable from robots then?

  • but still poor people can't afford this kind of life...and everything is based on monetary economy which we have now but still i can't see a real happy people aroun.

  • they have iphone 27s and itable...so easier like you can have a meeting on bus station.

  • Impooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooooossible

  • MIND. BLOWN

  • This is amazing and most ALL of this is already being made and BETA tested. The problem is that we don't see the future, right now. Who thought 10 years ago we would be where we are at now with just phone technology? It is too costly right now but I ensure you that you will all see this with in the next 4-5 years.

  • I love this video who's with me?

  • Think about WIRELESS phones. Or remote controls. And have you heard about wireless charging? These things are not impossible

  • "not that cities will ever have the budget to implement any of that on their roads or public transportation.": very 1 dimensional thinking, typical.

Remember computers used to cost millions and fit into a big room, now we are already walking around with smartphones that fit in our pocket and we have access to almost the sum of human knowledge at our fingertips for under $150.00 bucks, so get a grip on futurism. KENNETHRHI and don't be just another nay sayer..

  • Cool video with the cool music, cool technology, and most importantly, the right chick..:P

  • stupid

  • Soooo cool!

  • hahahah the kiss at 4:55 lol she didn't wanna kis his him

  • the future is waaaaay far from now....

  • I don't like it I really don't, ahh too much change!

  • Impossible is nothing.
