First yes I own all of their CDs and listen to them repeatedly. But honestly please don't feel like my opinion is biased. I just truly believe I love listening to Brent sign than I do any other artists. The way this man conveys the passion on a whole new level is just insane.

The people saying Brent has a shitty live/non-studio voice, must be deaf or retarded. Perhaps both. Because he has a fantastic voice, every video I've seen of him is amazing. Even if it's just him singing in some room, it sounds very powerful and outstanding.

when they're doing live shows..he has to try n sing over the band. which pretty much never happens. the way he's singing here...his voice is in control..and he can sing normally. in concert..the notes he's hitting here wouldnt seem very loud. i've seen his live shows n they kinda suck to me. acoustic like this. its the best.

Yea, I know what your saying, but it's obviously nothing wrong with his voice. It's the sound technician that should be beaten for his terrible ear. But the last live show that I went to which was in December of 2009, they sounded absolutely fantastic live.

Most of today's vocalists can not perform at the same level live as they do in the studio. Most artist's voices are enhanced, but Brent... I have to say... is AMAZING!!! He is one of the few out there that can actually sing in the studio as well as live. He blows me away with his vocal talent. It is definitely apparent that he loves to sing.

honestly you have a valid point, alot of times he is off live. But i don't know any band that could tour all over the place and hit every pitch on every song thats as vocally demanding as nearly every shinedown song is....it just doesnt happen. yes... you have to learn to use your head voice and to mix it correctly with your chest voice!

Personally, I never took any lessons n I improved through practice & practice, and well, practice. Focus on feeling the music, and what you're singing about.

Make sure you're on key with the instruments whether it's higher or lower, and PRACTISE!
