If you like the sounds but find that the pedal just takes over too much for your taste, try it in an FX loop; that way, you can tame this beast and keep your instrument's tone. That makes it totally useful for me.

Not really, the Fuzz Factory is weird no matter what you're playing. Whereas the Noise Box's weirdness is extremely dependent on how you're playing.

The biggest difference to me is the "woh-wow" envelope filter sound that goes with the synth-fuzz of the Noise Box. I don't hear that with the Fuzz Factory, even though the Fuzz Factory is very cool in it's own way.
