Im not happy with the 5.3 liter vortec V8 moter iv had them in the past, it doesnt tow worth shit. The 5.4 liter tritan has them beat. I think the whole truck itself is as good as of a truck as ford. Chevy must think there hot shit to over price them the way they do. thats why for came in first and they came second

I'll tell you one thing buddy. When you buy an American truck your money doesn't turn into Japanese Yen you idiot. I went and test drove both a Chevy Silverado and a Toyota Tunrda. The Tundra to start off got worse gas mileage when I test drove it, the six speed was very harsh, and frame is very weak and you have to be really tall to reach the top of the bed. The Chevy had a wonderful ride. A powerful and great sounding V8. The four speed was very smooth even when it shifted at 4,000 RPMS

you are a fucking idiot not too many people consider gas mileage when they are buying a truck especially if they tow stuff if you wanna tow 10,000 Lbs you need a 2500 HD chevy and that means like 10mpg at best so do some research before you flap your gums. And try throwing the silverado into a turn at 45 mph you will probably be dead in a ditch.

the new Silverado is awesome I wish I had a 1500 with the 6.0L Vmax, Only thing I dont like is the fuel saving system de-activating 4cyls, sure it saves, but i'd rather fly by with all 8 roaring so people can hear my exhaust, not hear a 4cyl go by, and i'm not sure but I dont think the 1500 crewcabs come with 6.5' optional beds like Ford does. 5.5' is too small, 6.5' is the minimum for me

Darren, if you dont like the active fuel managment, keep the speed above 110KMh, or about 55mph, it wont activate if your going any faster. as for the six and a half foot box you can get that if you were to go ext. cab, but if you do need a crew cab, your out of luck. I had to settle myself on my new crew slt sierra, But thats also why i kept my '03 Duramax.
