山梨県側は裏富士と呼ばれますが、裏富士の方が裾野のラインが美­しく、太陽光が横から当たる時間帯では陰影がくっきり出て大変美­しいです。紙幣に採用された本栖湖からの風景もとても有名です。

表富士は宝永山があり、左右非対称であまり美しくありません。ま­た太陽が真正面から当たるので、陰影がなくのっぺりとした姿にな­ってしまいますが、富士山の壮大さを感じることはできるでしょう­。

@iamreallyfree Mt. Fuji is often used in the traditional Japanese Arts and it symbolizes Japan. Though the altitude is not as high as other world mountains, Mt. Fuji is well known with rich natures. Moreover, if you pay more attention, it has a perfect circular shape with a regular elevation and there are no mt. in the world with perfect-shaped as this one because mountains are usually uneven-shaped like the Andes mt. range.

Yes from an artistic and aesthetic standpoint. In fact, Japan can use Mt. Fuji as the primary source of energy to power its country, from a technical, scientific and engineering perspective. If you try to use both sides of your brain together, you can unveil more beauty and potential.

I don't agree...I've seen much more beautiful mountains in Europe, but then again...beauty is subjective. I find it weird though that having Mt. Fuji as their primary source of energy they still have so many energy problems LOL!

Japanese are so deluded...please do some thorough research before making such a bold statement as "there are no mt. in the world as perfectly shaped as this one"...and when you do that I suggest that you take a look at Mt. Taranaki, a volcano in New Zealand.

I cannot recommend climbing Mt. Fuji next month if you don't have specific climbing skill , cause it'll be covered snow even if march's end . August is the best climing season for everyone .
