@amebka123 there are many ways of signing. There are different sign languages for different countries, there is signing for babies, and Sign Supported English. In British Sign Language, there is a different grammatical structure than in spoken English - it's not wrong, it's just different.
@TheRushingWind I didn't mean it to sound like the BSL grammatical structure is wrong, I just couldn't describe what I meant better. Sorry about that.
I'd actually like to learn BSL but it seems a bit confusing... I'd really appreciate if you could tell me how different the structure is - on the really basic level ;)
@amebka123 I don't know that much about it, but I believe it's subject first - for example I think 'how are you?' would be signed more like 'you are how?'
@amebka123 I don't think there is an English Sign Language - I think the British one is used throughout the UK, but perhaps with some differences in different areas.
The sentence structure is interesting, i'm multilingual (thnk my parents for forcing me to take french lessons while living in wales) and the switcharound of certain areas is very similar. In many languages the object comes before its description (i.e. a green ball becomes a ball that is green) and something similar seems to happen with bsl. Thank you, very interesting.
Yes, you are very fluid and easy to understand, i'm scottish and learning BSL but even with the little regonial differences i understood you brilliantly.
We knew that there was other BSL dvds out there that covered the levels etc, but they are boring and hard to watch a 2nd time, so Jane suggested we make it fun and easy to remember.
So there are two ways of signing? the one with the "correct" order of words and the other one?

Why is this funny? I think it's interesting to see the differences in American Sign Language and BSL.

I totally agree :) Although I didn't take french because I am able to communicate in Welsh and to be honest, I just didn't like it :P
